It was our first trip in our new (to us) RV. When we talked to Dan (owner) on the phone while making the reservation, he offered to help us get set up. Boy, was he ever a huge help! He spent an hour or more with my husband, showing him all the things to get us situated! This made all the difference in the world to our stay! It was a very quiet area, the closest neighbors being a cemetery. There are stated quiet hours, which we really appreciated, wanting a relaxed and restful time, as new retirees. We spent time exploring the neighboring town (cute!) of Linden and going to Mousetail State Park to wade in the water and watch waterfowl. Dan offered to take us on a boat ride in his cabin cruiser (it has a bathroom!), and we took him up on it! We spent about 2 hours on the TN river, sightseeing. It was so much fun and we even got to steer the boat for a bit. Back at the marina we sat and visited with Dan for another hour or so. He is an extremely nice and interesting man and we enjoyed spending time with him. Since we didn't have a grill, he offered his charcoal grill, which was so kind. The grounds were very clean, the decks come with 2 Adirondack chairs. We took nice hot showers in the clean bathhouse. He also helped in a similar way, when we were leaving, to disconnect the water, electricity, etc, spending about another hour of his time teaching us what to do. All in all, we would highly recommend this place for all those wanting a quiet place to camp! read more
