What an amazing community offered by Cedar Park Church. The Truth of God's word is spoken here, everyone is friendly, helpful, and show genuine concern for human needs. I've found the ministry to be encouraging, uplifting, joyous, and at the same time motivational with intention to move people closer to Who God Is and guide you into how biblical principles can transform an individual's life. I've noticed that harsh reviews of churches often come from moments when someone felt convicted or disagreed with a message. That discomfort can turn into criticism, even when the pastor was simply teaching what they believe is biblical truth. For me, Cedar Park has been a place where the messages are honest, compassionate, and meant to strengthen people, not tear them down. This church is a place where the meaning of Jesus' love and grace reigns. read more

- No adult Bible classes on Sunday. - Loud music. - Lead pastor Jay presents as an intellectual lightweight and concerned a lot with fashion and speech gimmicks, as though talking fast, loud, and shedding a tear gives credence to his sermons. He rarely adds meaningful historical/archaeological references, analysis or current cultural comments of any depth. His emphasis is mostly about individuals' emotions. - A lot of focus is made on eating and playing more than doing individual and group evangelism, neighborhood prayer walks and door knocks, and labor to serve the poor, elderly, and sick, whether saved or unsaved. (Unless it's asking to give your financial earnings.) - NOTE: Elders/deacons are not on their site? Who are they? I asked some members and they had no idea. read more

1) This church has terrible real communication: mostly advertising. 2) Jay, the senior pastor, is not all that intelligent and says really dumb things when he tries to elaborate on The Word. He is not published, nor is he very caring about his congregants in terms of his outreach to them. He has never even greeted them at the door as people enter or exit in my years of experience. Nor can he be bothered to go into the seat rows to pray for those at service who can't get to the alter: his overemphasis is them coming down front: showmanship vs. genuine concern for elderly and disabled. Also, he knocked up the prior senior pastor's daughter out of wedlock, but married her, and now she gets a paycheck from the church as do his daughters and one's husband. 3) The church does care A LOT about money, and makes poor choices on how to spend it. Food, fun and decorating are often overdone compared to serious service to the poor or towards community evangelism. You will be asked to give more than just your tithes during service each week: to missions not run by the church, for $ thank you gifts to pastors in the fall and at Christmas etc.*, to the school, to women who travel in winter to sunny Belize for site seeing and a "mission trip" and on, and on. (*They will not tell you the salaries and benefits paid to the pastors.) Cedar Park Church does use the Bible in services, which is good. Pray for their leadership and whoever the mysterious deacons/elders are! I am headed elsewhere and the wife, too. read more

This church focuses A LOT on image and money. The leadership operates in a lot of secrecy. Don't be fooled by the smiles and reading the word in services: much of what is promoted is lip service rather than real service. It is very much a clique within the leadership, and the nepotism demonstrated in hiring is inappropriate. They promote ideas yet say one thing and do another, which I believe is called hypocrisy. Yes, we are all hypocrites at times and imperfect, but this church is family business as much as anything else. You can attend, volunteer, give financial offerings for years and never have the senior pastor/wife team speak to you personally. They love to have you make a show of praying at the alter. The senior pastor is often quite foolish in words and actions, and his wife seems to have a big need to be admired for her singing rather than leading congregants: she performs rather than leads. There are many friendly people who go here, but the focus is off in terms of truly involving people who attend as those they care about, respect and serve rather than treating the congregants as those who support them financially and who they should serve rather than be distant authoritarian administrators. Also, there is far too much separation by ages: children and teens are too uninvolved from interaction with adults. In addition, don't expect the leaders to properly connect with you despite having your email and phone info, even if you give them a gift, offer to volunteer or have a question. They are just "so busy" doing things such as planning missions to top tropical vacation spots in the middle of our wet, cold, dark winters. This probably one of my all-time favorite churches. The facility is spacious and there is ample parking. The messages that are shared are uplifting and motivated me to be a better person. The music that is played on Live stage is top quality. Sort of like the voodoo doughnuts in P-town. Top quality! I have heard that they have an excellent children's program. The little coffee shop is a plus and they provide wifi internet which as we all know, coffee tastes better when there's a wifi signal. Thanx fir reading. read more

I don't know anything about this church, but since they disable comments on their NE Creation Network YouTube channel, I'm forced to comment here. You guys really need to enable comments and likes on your YouTube channel if you want to be taken seriously. I was going to leave a like on your last video on Geologic bias vs the fossil record, until toward the end where the speaker says that God not only hates sin, but also the sinner! That is patently false! Jesus loves every sinner and died for them. He does hate the sin, but NOT the sinner! Also it was implied in that video at the end that if someone still sins, they will not be saved - also false. He suggests to pray real hard to not sin anymore. This is ridiculous. If you are saved, God keeps no record of your sin, you are made white as snow. This doesn't mean you should not sanctify your life, but as humans we will still sin throughout our lives. Seriously, turn on your YouTube comments. The point of YouTube is to be a place to watch content and discuss it with others who watched the content. read more

I attended for the first time this Sunday. I was disappointed with how the worship was not meaningful. I went to the 11:30am service and the church started and you would never know it started because there was so much activity and noise it was hard to enjoy the music and worship. Also something was wrong with the sound mix, I don't know anything about music but I do know their was way too much static and too much drum percussion overwhelming the background of all the songs. My friend who brought me agreed with the sound issue. When the Pastor gave the message that was the best part, I really got a lot out of his teaching message on work/labor and the prayer/blessing. I just moved here from CA and I usually attend Calvary Chapel expository verse by verse so this was different but edifying. Hope to attend again, I sure hope they fix the music sound board mixing issue. Thank you read more

It's hard for me to give any church a good review - I've been on staff at numerous churches and they so often are not as 'Christ centered' as they may appear...however, so far, I've been going to this church with my wife and son for about 6 years. During this time they've had a new pastor (which is usually a total pain and chaos for a while), but the transition was amazing; full of respect, grace and excitement. The staff and volunteers don't seem to get any more attention than the regular attenders. That impresses me. I don't think any church will ever fill the shoes of Jesus correctly - we're all humans. Then there are those who just care about the mercy part of Jesus, ignoring the sad impact of sin and ignoring the power of justice. So of course there will be those who don't like Cedar Park's political stance on certain issues - touting them as 'hate' rather than seeing their desire to see all of us moving toward Christ and away from sin (that destroys us). It's not easy to understand for those who want to just put a church down. However, I haven't seen hatred from this church. I've seen every person examine themselves and admit they are all sinners who need a savior. Add to that, Cedar Park is doing quite a bit of good with all sorts of social needs, locally and cross culturally. It's not perfect - we'll only get that when we die (if we know Christ). But it's a good place to share your faith with others... read more

As far as churches go, it does not get any better. full youth, children, adult programs; branch churches, the largest K-12 Christian school in the US, funeral home, counseling network, mechanics ministry, camping system. great Bible teaching, integration with life and work and social/political action. read more

My husband grew up in this church. Although I don't attend it on Sunday, my kids and I are really starting to feel like Cedar Park is home to us while my husband is away in the military. They have tons of great programs for moms and kids. The kids attended VBS in the summer, now we're in their Mothers of Preschoolers group, and they have fun nights for the kids like movie nights. It's great! read more

Been attending this church for my entire life. I have visited other churches but it is great to call Cedar Park my home. I always feel uplifted and encouraged and the messages push me to practice my walk with Christ all week long. If you are looking for a place to connect and get involved, I would definitely recommend CP to anyone seeking a church family. read more

Hadn't been here in a few weeks, and was thrilled with the music. Cello, violins, piano all gave the worship time a depth missing in so many churches. Thank you, thank you, thank you for organizing this orchestra; for the beautiful music; for bringing back good music which helps prepare hearts for the ministry of the Word. Loved it! read more

This church follows the word of God. If you call yourself a Christian and you don't follow the word of God you are lost. This church is full of kind loving people. I have gone here for about 20 years on and off. I have never felt "judged" or looked down upon. I have been loved and supported and there is always someone available to pray with you if you can't face the day alone. If you feel margenilized this place will be a balm for your heart. read more

Joe Fuiten and his staff of pastors are an all-star team. I invited a friend who hasn't been to church in years to a service here with me and i was so impressed by the fact that nearly 5 of the pastors greeted her and her family, asked them about what they do and life in general. She felt so welcome and comfortable her first time and got to chat with various pastors for nearly 20 minutes. They offer a variety of kids programs from Sunday school to Vacation Bible School and summer kids camps. They also have great youth and young adult programs with lots of activities and friendly leaders. This church is as good as it gets! read more

This church is solidly grounded in biblical truth. (If you don't want to hear what God's Word says, you won't like Cedar Park.) Pastor Joe Fuiten is a passionate follower of Christ with an exemplary presence in the pulpit which shows an incredible relationship with Christ and the church and its people. He is incredibly learned, loves to educate his congregation about the deeper meaning and background behind scripture including the history of the times, and is very congenial and caring. He is a very wise man with a heart for advancing God's kingdom and is unafraid to stand for what is right. His leadership permeates all that Cedar Park does from the summer camp for foster children to the auto mechanic ministry to the Cedar Park schools to the ministry to seniors. Pastor Joe changed my life and made me understand what it means to have a Christian walk. read more
