Apartment manager, Nicole, is a fifty-year-old child who pouts and complains when tenants need help with their unit. I don't know how going to culinary school makes her qualified to manage an apartment complex, but whatever. (Too much Pokémon Go keeps her from doing her job.) It's a ghetto. Several neighbors have entered my unit without permission. And every time I reported it to management it was dismissed. One neighbor sprayed a hose into my unit just because the floors creaked. Cockroaches. Washers and dryers are always broken. Pipes leaking in the hallways making the ceiling tiles cave and crumble to the floor. The units are dank and dark. Some people walk around indoors and outdoors practically naked. I reported people walking around in this fashion, but instead she said, "Well, you were walking around in undergarments." I demanded that she show me what she was talking about, and they were dry, khaki swim trunks that came down to my knees and not undergarments. So she was deflecting my report by trying to turn an accusation on me likely because I was reporting an incident, and it annoys her when tenants ask her to do her job. It's because simply because she's a lazy. She's always putting signs on her office door telling tenants not to "bother her", and she actually discouraged people from emailing incident reports to the office because they would "go into the void" and that she had no intention of doing anything about them. However she felt it was necessary to put notes on all the tenant's know that she was getting married in a few days. (Who cares?) But it the pouty, childish voice that really aggravates me. (Be a grownup.) The people employed there change so frequently that nothing gets done. One of the employees that worked in the office was convicted for fraudulent checks, so the office was an appropriate place for her. Another employee was convicted of menacing, and he had a job that required him going into other people's units. I've had packages go missing. There is an alleged poisoner killing animals on the property. Never ending domestic disturbances are a regular thing, and it's not unusual for those incidents to spill out into the hallways and other public areas. I've had my property vandalized. Someone obscured my LGBT pride flag. Cedar Park Apartments is a mess. The social rooms are filled with junk and furniture from 60 years ago. There are "security cameras" in the hallways and parking lot, but they are just decoys due to the fact that they don't actually work. I've had instances where I asked the office to check the cameras to see who dinged my car, took my packages, and who was banging on the walls in the laundry room on the other side of my living room wall, but alas management would tell me that, "they weren't working that day." If individuals are staying on the second floor, it's best to keep the windows closed because all the smoke and soot from the cigarettes of people on the first floor floats up into the second floor units and pastes itself on the ceilings. There were also two instances where I could hear animals moving in the walls. I stayed as long as I did, because I thought the price was reasonable and held on to the hope that things would get better, but inept and corrupt management is running the place into the ground. The longer I stayed there, the more unhappy I became. It's unfortunate how hard it is to find apartments complexes with vacancies. Waitlists are approximately two years. read more
