A very snobby, pretentious place. A favoured hang out of the local wannabe country set. You know the deal. Range Rovers, Beamers, Mercs, Audi's, peroxide blonde middle aged women with faces like a bulldog chewing a wasp.
Cedar Farm, and the snobs that visit it, think they are in Cheshire or Surrey when actually they are in a converted pig farm on the edge of an equally awful, snobby, lifeless and drab commuter enclave called Mawdesley. Even the surrounding countryside around here is drab and unwelcoming.
The animal enclosure has been steadily run down, so it's not good for children. There's nothing much else in the local area. It's a pain to get to (expect lots of speeding Range Rovers on tiny single-track lanes, and terribly potholed roads). Even for just a walk the surrounding area uninspiring. The area is flat and featureless, and the footpaths are very muddy and often blocked by the strange, rather inbred farmer types that haunt this area.
I'd give this place a miss. It has an unpleasant, unwelcoming, snobbish atmosphere. it's very overpriced and it's a real pain to get to. Nothing special at all. read more
