Eventually received the item -- but only after nearly a month of chasing
I ordered an item from Cecil Walker Cycles on 20 January 2026. Two days later, the wrong item was delivered. I raised this immediately.
What should have been a simple fix turned into almost a month of repeated follow‑ups, vague responses, and constant delays. Each update referenced internal checks, warehouse investigations, or "following up with the team," but nothing progressed without me chasing again.
After multiple escalations, I was eventually asked to return the incorrect item -- which I did promptly. Even after the return was delivered back to their distribution centre, I still had to follow up yet again just to obtain tracking details for the replacement.
While I have now finally received the correct item, it arrived close to a month after the original order date, entirely due to poor communication, lack of urgency, and a complete absence of proactive customer service.
Mistakes happen -- but this was handled badly at every step.
Customers should not need to spend weeks following up to resolve a supplier's error.
Based on this experience, I would not recommend Cecil Walker Cycles. read more
