Here is a follow up. I just got off the phone with him. He actually hung up on me. I never…read moreraised my voice or used any kind of bad language. I just asked when my ring will be fixed. From what he said I don't think he's even started on it. Now it's supposed to be ready on Saturday, almost 4 weeks from the time I gave it to him!!! At the time of this review I still do not have my ring. If I could give zero stars I would. This is one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I took my antique ring to get repaired and have the stone replaced which was green tourmaline. I gave him a piece of tourmaline and the ring. One of the prongs had come loose and needed to be repaired along with the stone to be cut and polished and put in. He said it would take 2 weeks. I called after a week to check the progress. He said he had not even started on it. I called a week later. He said it would be done by the end of the week. I called at the end of the week. No answer. I went by and there was a sign that said he would be gone untill Tuesday which is today. I went by again. The sign is gone but the door is locked. The owner does not pick up the phone and his voicemail is full. It is now 3 weeks and I still do not have my ring. All I want is my ring back at this point so I can take it somewhere else. This ring is extremely important to me and is an antique. Do not use this guy. Worst experience ever!!!!!

The collection was a total of "160" quarters. ( x 0.25 ) = $40.00 I was handing them $40.00 in actual United States currency to hold as collateral, in exchange for a loan. The quarters are collection of mine I did not want to spend, even though the option to use as currency remains. I wanted to borrow $30.00 in Federal Reserve Notes while they held my $40.00 ("160" United States quarter dollars). The end result would amount to me paying approximately $35 -$37+ for repayment of the loan. However, after much negotiating, Hart's refused to loan me any more than $20.00 for holding literally $40.00 in my cash collateral. If I did not repay the loan, they have $40.00 cash to keep and spend at that very moment, without having to sell anything in order to recoup the money loan. They CAN NOT lose. ... But that wasn't enough. They wanted more. So, they cut the desired amount down even further. If they are not corrupt, unfair or greedy, etc. ... then they are simply uneducated morons for not comprehending that they would profit regardless. As broke as I was at that moment, I took the $20.00 much needed to be able to eat on that day.

My husband got me a paper clip link silver bracelet with three freshwater pearls for our anniversary. So beautiful! So delicate and so feminine. I just love them. I also had a broken gold anklet chain soldered as well as a broken-off piece from a gold-plated hoop earring. The final item was a rare high-grade sugilite silver ring I had purchased back in August that needed gentle polishing. Everything was perfectly done. I had come in the week of Thanksgiving and all of it was done by the second week of December. Make sure to say hi to Dalia while you're there. Here's the pricing: $150 for restringing pearls and replacing the clasp and tongue; $40 for soldering the earring part; $35 for soldering the gold chain on the anklet; $50 for tightening the diamond on the engagement ring (they added more platinum to help secure the setting); and $70 for gently polishing the sugilite ring without scratching it! Check out the pics; happy holidays!

The service was quick and the Care he took on my item regardless the cost compared to all the items in the cases was very attentive. He definitely understood the value to me. At the end of it all, he happily did it for me with no charge even though I offered to pay for his time. Truly, a business that continues to care for the craft will definitely come again

I am always a little leery of jewelers because I've had pieces switched out and other things. But the moment I walked in here I was greeted with a smile and friendly welcome. I have now been in probably five times or so with and without my mom. We both had pieces that needed to be fixed. Every time we walk in no matter who is working, we have greeted and treated so nicely. I have full trust in them. And I will continue to use them for future jewelry repair or purchases. And I will always recommend this place to friends. They are very knowledgeable. I loved some of the pieces they have for purchase in the shop. They offer custom work. Today I walked in and wanted to show them a necklace my dog accidentally ripped off my neck. I just wanted the pendant checked and make sure it was secure. It's a family heirloom and means the world to me. I would've so upset if it came off the chain. She checked it and fixed it for me immediately. I asked how much I owed and she said nothing. It was so kind of them to fix it for me. Now I won't be worried I might lose it. It meant the world to me. I highly recommend this place.
