The moment…read moreI stepped through the entrance after traveling by train from Vienna, I was instantly wowed by the beautiful spacious lobby with couches and chandeliers and water dispenser with orange slices for guests. Check-in was smooth, and I was assigned to Room 308. The 7am breakfast buffet here is complimentary, Pros: 1. Felt immersed in its beauty and luxury the moment I stepped in. 2. Complimentary 7am breakfast buffet. My favorites among the breakfast selections were perfectly jammy fried eggs, beef broth, smoked herring fillets, chia seed pudding, soft pretzel, blueberry yogurt, and this tiny cake with ridged edges that I forget the name of but I liked it. 3. Walking distance to pretty much just about everything I wanted to do in Prague, right in front of the Powder Tower, and just a few minutes away from the Astrological Clock Tower! 4. Walking distance from the Prague train station. 5. Even though the bathroom was kind of cramped, it was pristine and the shower was very nice and had a tub. 5. Had drinking water dispenser in the lobby 6. Great staff 7. Complimentary tea 8. Robes and slippers 9. Comfy bed 10. Clean and comfortable 11. Smooth check-in and check-out 12. They held my backpack after I checked out so that I could explore Prague some more until it was time for me to head to the airport. Cons: 1. Room was cramped and small 2. The mirror light in the bathroom could have been brighter 3. Could have had proper space to brew tea 4. The lockbox could have been on a lower shelf so that I (a petite woman) didn't have to jump up and see what I put in it.

The hotel exceeded our expectations. Everything was clean and the decorations fit the hotel's architectural time frame. We loved all the fine porcelain dishes and crystal they used in the dining area. The breakfast exceeded our expectations. They had lattes, champagne, juices and coffee. Large selection of cheeses, meats, yogurt, fruit, soup, eggs, potatoes, sausages and pastries. Being gluten-free I was able to find many foods I could eat. We enjoyed watching people stroll on the streets while we ate our breakfast. I loved all the little subtle touches the staff provided. One morning a got a cute "Good morning" with my name written on the porcelain saucer. Literally made me day. The front desk was really good with recommendations for a lot of our needs. The hotel was also in a very convenient location. I would definitely recommend it and hope to stay here again.

The hotel…read moreis beautiful with a grand and classy old-world style atmosphere with marble tiles and rich colors and textured fabrics everywhere. The location of the hotel was excellent for us, about 15 minutes walk to the bus terminal and about another 15 minutes walk the other direction to the city center. Everything is very walkable and easy to get around town. Public transit is also pretty easy to use. Our room was smaller than most average American hotel rooms but still roomier than other European hotels rooms. The bathroom was modern yet felt like it fit with the style of the hotel with its marble walls and floors. The hotel is showing some age and just needs some minor repairs. We did have only two issues. One was our sink was leaking at the bottom but unfortunately, I never got around to reporting it to the front desk so hopefully the hotel sees my review now and looks into it. The other issue was with another guest staying down the hall that unfortunately was mentally unstable and came out her room in the middle of the night screaming waking me up and keeping me up for hours. The hotel tried to reason with her to calm down and go in her room but that wasn't so easy. Evidently, the local police are not able to do anything if she's not physically harming anyone. That was one rough night. The hotel also offers a wonderful breakfast in their restaurant. I highly recommend taking advantage of it as there's a buffet as well as a menu to order additional breakfast items. I highly recommend this hotel as a great place to stay in Prague.

I booked three nights through Groupon for a very reasonable price, considering the hotel's excellent location in one of the most visited cities in Europe (LOVE Praha!). I emailed them several times - once to confirm the reservation and another time about ordering an airport shuttle service. Every time they responded quickly, taking care of my request in a prompt manner. As weary travelers, we were greeted at the hotel with a warm hello and detailed description of the amenities and services offered. We took the opportunity to go on a walking tour of the city with one of the hotel employees, Vaclav, who was enthusiastic and super friendly. The hotel is located in Prague 5, within walking distance of Old Town. It's very close to Mala Stranna and there's a tram stop just a few minutes away. The building itself is old, but is tastefully decorated and our dwelling bathroom had been completely remodeled. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and the hotel restaurant served very good traditional food.

Since it's quite large with high quality and good value, it seems popular with tour bus groups. Overall, the hotel was good, with comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast, and service all living up to the 4-star standard in Prague. The lobby over the top with modern luxury, Mozart-themed decor. Two issues kept me from giving it 4 stars here however. One is that the Wi-Fi was poor. Just basic emails and searching led to issues more often than not, on multiple devices, and in both my room & the lobby. The other issue was that while many hotels in Prague state their price in EUR but charge in CZK, every hotel I've stayed in the past have used a reasonable exchange rate; this hotel used a rate marked up by over 5%, a sneaky way to add extra cost.

They set up only 2 sets of towels although there were 3 of us. The safe in the room didn't work. I called the reception right away, they didn't send the worker , I had to ask for that the next day, and they sent someone only after third request. The breakfast was nice. The location is the worst for me. Although the hotel is conveniently located right to the subway station, it doesn't say anywhere in the hotel description that it is right next to CEMETERY!!! Should I knew it while booking, I would not book this hotel!!!

We decided to give it a try, so went in to the lobby and it was outdated and nothing like the pictures online. We were stunned but had booked an upgraded suite so wanted to see if the room was maybe better. Nope. It was also outdated, had a terrible floor plan and the view out the window was of people's apartments and clothes drying. Really depressing. I went to sit on the couch and saw what was either blood or maybe nailpolish? We grabbed our bags, got a refund from Expedia and hightailed it out of there. We also realized that this location is one street over from the red light district, so if this is what you're looking for maybe it's ok. Not on our agenda.
