We booked our tickets to Bohol through a travel agency for 11:00 AM. We were told to check-in an…read morehour before. Like good doobies, we showed up 90 minutes early. Went through security well & found the Supercat counter. Stop! Do not pass go! Do not collect $200. Our ferry was canceled. Technical issues they said. Doubt it; they probably didn't have enough passengers so they canceled our ferry. OK, when's the next ferry - - 1:15 PM. Not that much change just have to sit around this terminal an extra 2 hours - - not fun. Had to call the resort and arrange a new pickup time. We planned on getting to Bohol by 1:00 PM, get to the Bohol Beach Club by 2:00 PM, check-in & relax the rest of the afternoon. Now we did not get there until 3:15 PM, arrived at the resort at 4:00 PM, and checked-in by 5:00 PM - - just enough time to put our bags away, set up a day tour of Bohol, & eat dinner. Lucky we had enough time for a walk on the beach after dinner. Now here comes the hidden fees: 140 pesos for the checked bags. They don't want baggage in the cabin. Wrong!!! It's a boat. My wife was carrying important papers & valuables and I had 3 weeks of heart medications, a CPAP machine, and electronics. We checked the clothes, but kept the valuables. Tipped Manny #9, the baggage guy, 100 pesos and told him to take care of them. Later, we saw Manny #9 again & told him that if we saw the bags on the boat with us, I'd give him an extra 150 pesos. No issue - - we saw him on the Boat & give him what we promised - - good job!!! We choose Super Cat Ferry because we were told that they do more maintenance than the other companies. BTY: Took a look at Ocean Jet as they were loading - - probably not an open seat on the boat. Why? They are a few pesos cheaper; but we were also told that they overbook a lot. We'll pay more for a better ride. Enjoy.

Bathrooms on the ferry are disgusting and dirty. There is plenty of staff to clean but I don't know…read moreif the captain's failure or management failure. The entire ferry was very dirty. The staff was rude. I went out on the viewing deck which I guess is off limits which is strange. The best part of the boat. I killed five cockroaches and I was in business class.
