That's precisely why I chose to go with my gut when I found myself in an emergency situation with a crown cracked clean in half. My normal dentist wouldn't get me in for months, and they squeezed me in the very next day. The staff is immensely friendly and accommodating, and despite the fact that we're all *actually human*, you can tell that Dr. Waxler genuinely wants to help people. As someone with a very complex and advanced dental disorder who has been done wrong by many dentists in the past, I require a very high level of attentiveness to my case -- and when I raised my concerns, Dr. Waxler truly listened. The crown they did for me on such short notice is genuinely beautiful, high-quality work, and I was pleasantly surprised. I went on to have about five more fillings done and had a very positive experience with those too. They are fast and attentive; I feel like it's one of the best dental offices I have found in years. Highly recommend!

Unethical Practice…read more My son was the second patient scheduled that morning. While we were waiting, a staff member came into the lobby and said another patient wanted to speak with her father. At first, I thought the patient simply wanted reassurance or support before her procedure. A short time later, I was called back because my son supposedly "wanted to speak to me." However, when I entered the room, my son did not say a word. He was already connected to an IV and oxygen. While he was in that vulnerable position, the staff member told me they needed to add an additional procedure costing $750 that was not covered by insurance, along with another $1,500 to remove an additional tooth. What concerned me even more was that I watched three other families appear to go through a very similar experience. Parents were called into the treatment area after their children were already prepared for surgery and were then presented with expensive additional procedures. In my opinion, this creates an extremely high-pressure and emotionally manipulative situation. Parents should not feel cornered into making major financial decisions while standing in front of their frightened child who is already hooked up to an IV. We were also told that without the additional procedure, my son might not heal properly. I have had four other children, both minors and adults, undergo tooth extractions, and all of them healed without this added procedure. While I was in the office, I also spoke with an older woman who told me she had filed three grievances against this dental group through her insurance company. I cannot speak to anyone else's complete medical circumstances, but I can speak to what I personally witnessed. The way these additional charges were presented felt unacceptable and unethical. Treatment options, costs, insurance coverage, and alternatives should be discussed clearly before the patient is prepared for surgery--not after the IV and oxygen are already in place. Parents should ask for all recommended procedures and costs in writing before the appointment and should not be afraid to request a second opinion.

I contacted this office on June 4 regarding dentures and implants for my father. Before scheduling…read morea consultation, I requested general pricing ranges so I could determine whether the practice was a realistic option for our budget. I fully understand that exact treatment costs require an examination, but I repeatedly asked for even a broad estimate or typical price range. From the very beginning, Maria disregarded my stated communication preferences and avoided directly answering the pricing question. Rather than simply informing me that the office would not provide any pricing information without a consultation, I spent over a week trying to obtain a straightforward answer. What made this particularly frustrating is that several other dental offices in the area were transparent enough to provide general pricing ranges, allowing patients to make informed decisions before investing additional time and effort. Transparency matters when patients are considering significant dental procedures and expenses. Unfortunately, the lack of direct communication and repeated avoidance of a simple question left me questioning the transparency of this practice as a whole. The experience was frustrating enough that I removed this office from consideration and would not consider it for myself or my family in the future. Based on this experience, I believe the practice should reevaluate who serves as its first point of contact for prospective patients. Initial interactions shape a patient's perception of an office, and my experience did not reflect the level of professionalism, transparency, or customer service I would expect when seeking dental care.
