My wife completed the transaction, and, once outside, she said she was charged $4.35--no free one. She went inside and was told, no free one. The man and woman running the store, apparently the owners, were curt with me when I asked about the lack of BOGO. The woman said it didn't apply to everything. I said the signs outside had no conditions. The man snapped, "We're not going to argue with you." So, there's a reason the store was empty of customers. Stay away, just as I will.

It is by the lake, so had great views. They have nice to basic picnic shelters and pavilions which can match any budget. (Smaller old shelters are as little as $10 a day, and include a grill. I really have been enjoying reading in the shade lately, while my husband plays an extra round. The only things I could wish to see improved would be a more easily accessed handicapped bathroom* and a fenced in dog run.** Morristown is doing a pretty good job with their parks. We visit this park, and the nearby dog park at Jaycee field once a week, and often end up getting lunch in town, or running errands. They are hosting this years Tennessee State Disc Golf Championship, June 7-9. Way to go, Morristown! *the bathroom has a handicapped ramp, but is a long walk from the parking lot. I…read moreain't never seen this much firepower gathered in one place -- not even at a rodeo on payday weekend. It's wall-to-wall boom sticks. Aisles stacked taller than a longhorn bull. Enough explosives to make the whole county sit up straight. Honestly? It should be illegal for regular folks -- especially cowboys like me -- to walk around freely in a place with this much danger and joy mixed together. Every corner I turned, there was another rack of fireworks big enough to rattle a man's soul. You want little pops? They got 'em. You want sky-cracking, earth-shaking, widow-making thunder shells? Cowboy... they got whole pallets. Staff treated me right, prices were solid, and I left there feeling like I could single-handedly light up the entire West. Five stars. Five BOOTS. This place is pure cowboy chaos -- and I loved every second.

This…read morefireworks store, which is open year round for all of you pyromaniacs out there like myself, caters to just about anyone interested in amateur fireworks. Products range from small bottle rockets up to reloadable motor shells with anything in between! My first impression of the store upon entering was the sheer volume of selection that was available. Although the store may appear small, do not let that deceive you, the available merchandise is definitely diverse. Secondly, I was glad to see that the store's namesake was indeed working there. "Granny" warmly greeted us and assisted us with any question or concern. She even was kind enough to demonstrate a few products that we were unsure of but interested in. To top things off, "Granny" pitch in a few free fireworks for our purchase. These weren't just some extra little poppers, but some serious helicopter explosives. Make sure you print out a map or are familiar with the location, because Granny's is a little difficult to find the first time around. You have to continue down Bristol Highway for nearly three miles, so you might feel like you've missed it. Just keep driving, and you'll see a big sign which will let you know you're there! Although Granny's is a little out of the way and a little hard to find the first time around, the products and the customer service are top notch. Next time I am in Tennessee, I will be buying my fireworks from Granny!
