(I have to disagree). When I simply asked about one tooth in particular, he very awkwardly scooted near my ear and asked if I remember how messed up my teeth were? Again, I would have to disagree. Out of all the teeth, two of them were misaligned. He also told me on one dreaded visit that he is "not a mind reader" I have to tell him "what I'm wanting". I thought I paid several thousand dollars for an expert at straightening teeth and not someone that needs the patient to explain how they want their teeth positioned! Worst of all, the retainer did not fit; they did not care to help with the issue. I took the retainer to my general dentist who took all the time in the world to make sure it fit just right. These are not near all the issues I encountered and I'm so full of regret for choosing this orthodontist to give my hard earned money to. Bottom line was it was a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

From waiting over an hour to almost two hours past my appointment time for most of my appointments to seeing the high turnover rate of hygienist and orthodontist this has been a huge headache. In the middle of my treatment I was switched orthodontists and was not told why until I questioned it. I come to find out the one I previously had and liked suddenly quit. It makes you wonder why. After all the headaches and I was finally done with my treatment I went to my normal dentist for a routine cleaning. My normal dentist pointed out when I got my bonded retainer removed before I started Invisalign @ SmileLife the staff failed to remove all the glue and I had to pay out of pocket to get it done right the second time. The glue caused major plaque build up on my bottom teeth that could have caused worse dental issues. If you're considering any orthodontic treatment please be cautious and shop around if you can.

Twice in the past four months have I…read moresuffered from severe vision impairment-- "double vision" (diplopia)--from complications due to Botox treatments with Dr. Vijay Bindingnavele. Currently, I am unable to work or drive a car. Only after the second occurrence of "double vision"-- from a 10/15/2020 Botox treatment was my CC ophthalmologist able to figure out that the "misplaced" injections on both occasions were the cause of my loss of vision--both on 7/17/2020 and 10/27/2020. But not before I was given multiple tests in July--brain MRI/ blood studies/ thyrotropin receptor Ab test--all of which were normal. As a board certified orthodontist and health care provider myself, I am not in the habit of writing negative reviews. That said, the severity of my symptoms and the lack of compassion from "Dr. Vijay"--as well as extreme outrage-- necessitated this review...in hopes that future patients should be at least aware of potential danger which may result from going to this doctor. Lastly, I decided a second opinion was in order and had an employee drive me to Houston for an appointment with a "world renown" ophthalmologist, whom was most helpful in diagnosing an allergic reaction I was having from some eye drops my family physician had prescribed a year earlier. After a thorough examination and dilation of my eyes, the Houston ophthalmologist ascribed my condition positively and without a doubt as "Medial Rectus Paresis" secondary to Botox (Botulism), confirming my CC ophthalmologist's diagnosis. Ron Vantankah, office owner/manager is the epitome of unprofessional. I am a former employee who once trusted the practice enough to bring my family members to have dental work done at this practice. Because I chose to leave the toxicity of this practice and pursue better opportunity, Ron retaliated against my family member, banning them from the office for the sole reason of being related to me. My family member, who had a dental emergency and needed a limited exam, was denied an appointment with the Dr. who performed his dental work , unless he got a cleaning and X-rays done first so that way the office can collect as much insurance money as they can . If a patient presents with needing a limited exam- an adult prophy and X-rays are NOT NEEDED. A limited exam warrants a periapical film , nothing more. The audacity of this office to try to pocket some insurance money and deny care to my family member and a paying patient of the practice is beyond words. How this office is still open and operating is beyond me. I warn anyone who is considering coming to this office to receive care to stay far far away from this office. The office philosophy is not for the best interest of the patient. It is solely a business operation. Every patient walking into that office is seen as a transaction & opportunity to receive money. Corpus Christi has many amazing , talented Dentists who have their patients best interest at heart, Corpus Christi Advanced Dentistry is NOT the place to go to if you want quality care.
