A long commute through a lot of traffic necessitated she move the bulk of her practice back to the city, so when my need for treatment arose recently, it was an easy decision for me to simply take my needs where Janet was, inside The Centered Spirit Wellness, Cultural and Holistic Center. She already understood my somewhat aging, beat up body racked with too many years of being an elite level athlete and my current workout regimen. The Centered Spirit where her office is based is a lovely location, nicely designed, serving a varieties of needs like classes, yoga, massage and other health and wellness topics. Having received treatment that really produced positive results on an injury last year, I'm very pleased to be one of Janet's customers and intend to continue to be one for the long haul. If you're in the need of a seasoned professional serving this kind of need, I can't recommend her more highly! If you come: parking on the North side of the building. Prior to our appointment, we discussed payment and I was very disappointed to find that the charges for adults and children were different. When it came time to pay we ended up paying $400.00 for my adult daughter and me when I thought it would only $200.00 as discussed over the phone. They were unwilling to negotiate and would not provide direction on the numerous forms we felt out unless we came back. Ugh...I am just so sad people cannot be more forthcoming. The secretary (his wife I believe) heard my excitement and comment over the low price she should have in all honesty said something or at least been willing to negotiate in a reduction of the price. We walked away with nothing from our $400.00

When most people have a scheduled doctor appointment they do not look forward to going. Well, this…read moreis not the case when you have an appointment with Dr. Lum. I honestly can't wait until my next appointment to learn about my health and what improvements can be made to live healthier and happier. Upon meeting Dr. Lum for the first time you can immediately feel very comfortable thru his kind and caring way. I knew that I did not feel well and that something was wrong with my health. I went to my own doctor and was sent to an endocrinologist to conduct some tests . I had many symptoms including darkness around my mouth, extreme fatigue, weight gain, etc. I had recently lost my mother that I cared for the last 30 years and after my tests came out "normal" the endocrinologist said that I was just deeply depressed. Well, I was deeply depressed, but I knew that my physical health was a problem. As it turns out through blood and urine testing so much has been uncovered about my health status. Dr. Lum is treating me for the health issues discovered including, MTHFR, heavy metal toxicity, cellular hypothyroid, vitamin deficiencies, neurotransmitter imbalance, adrenal fatigue, weight gain and years of constipation issues. I have been a patient for about 9 months and during this time there has been testing leading to discovery and treatment. Everything is not resolved , but so much progress has happened. Specifically , most of my diagnostic blood test numbers are improving. My darkness on my face has improved, my hair has grown more in a few months after not growing for the last 4 years, I am less fatigued and my I am feeling happier. Also, for the first time in many, many years I have become "regular" and truly thought this would never happen. I drive over an hour to go to Dr. Lum's integrated healthcare center and it has been so worth my time and money spent. Dr. Lum is also so kind to communicate with me thru emails when I have other a few follow up things to go over. Dr. Lum and the entire staff are so supportive of each persons health needs. I feel so blessed to be a patient and on the road to better health. Dr. Lum cares for me and I am certain all of his patients with his head (knowledge) and his heart.

Doctors did a lot of testing and guessing and not giving me answers. I couldn't believe how thorough the original testing was at SOH, and how much time Dr. Vaughn spent with me going over the results and answering all my questions (2.5 hours in one session alone). Here's a bit of my journey: * My PCP thought my issue was thyroid; Dr. Vaughn found Lyme Disease instead. After going through the SOH Lyme protocol, I have no more symptoms! * The Hepatologist said there nothing could be done about my liver--they would just do a scan every six months and wait for it to turn into cancer. After 2 months of being on treatment with SOH, 4/5 liver markers showed improvement! * My cholesterol went from 200 to 174 after 2 months. * My A1C went from 6.5 to 6.2 in 2 months. But the best thing is that I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER! I have energy that I haven't had in months. My mind is clearer, more focused. I still have a ways to go, but if the first few months are any indication, I'm on the road to renewing my health! I can't say enough good things about the staff and care at SOH.
