I've been wanting to try new recipes and stumbled upon moqueca which is a Brazilian fish stew. Some of the recipes swore that in order for it to be authentic, you had to have "dende oil". I went to a store known for having every food item from just about every country on the globe. I must've looked extremely confused because a clerk approached me and offered his help. He attempted to locate the elusive dende oil, but they didn't have any in stock. He suggested that I try a Brazilian market. I called before I made the trip to Goiana because it was quite a distance from where I was. I spoke to a woman who informed me they had the item in stock. The store is small and filled with all kinds of Brazilian goodies. Most items aren't in English though. I was able to find the dende oil quickly because I saw pictures online. The clerk that I encountered was friendly. If you're ever in need of an item for a Brazilian dish, check them out!

I've been to several Mexican grocery stores in the metro area and I always have a fun time shopping there. The store itself has mainly packaged produce. It does have a nice selection of bulk spice and in the back they have fresh meat for sale. When we were shopping there we befriended a lovely gentleman that was waiting in line. He introduced us to several Brazilian items that are a must try. They include the following: 1. Pao de Queijo. Brazilian Cheese bread. The brand he recommended was Mr. Cheese Bread which is based out of Morrow, GA. I bought a small bag for about $3 to try them out. 2. Guarana Antarctica- Brazil's soda of choice. The store had tons of these and I saw lots of people at the bakery drinking them. I am told it is made from the seed of the Guarani fruit which from the Guarana plant found in the Amazon forest. One seed from the Guarani fruit ss suppose to contain twice amount of caffeine as one coffee bean. The soda itself is a cross between ginger ale and Sprite. It does contain caffeine. 3. Pilao coffee. Brazil's best selling coffee. Many choices of flat breads, Persian, middle eastern and Indian goods are found here. Noticed an interesting tea selection as well. Oddly their Yelp page had no pics so I added some :). + Their prices seem reasonable but slightly higher than Nazareth. ++ Parking is shared and plenty. Surprisingly, this Persian grocer is located next to Aldi in a bigger shopping center. This independently owned friendly grocer is worthy of revisits for hard to find middle eastern recipes!

This review is for the restaurant…read more I ordered Goat Biryani through UberEats from this restaurant after reading the reviews. They delivered a few days old Chicken Pulav. The rice was very hard and the food had a stale smell. After a couple of bites, I had to throw away the food. Only Basmati rice is used to make biryanis, but this one had some short grain uncooked rice. Never eat from here!
