The second time, we bought a case of coconuts with the pop-top style opening. Which was new for us. After refrigerating them, we tried one -- same issue. It had a stale, plastic-like taste. We opened another a few days later, and it was no different. We planned to return them, but got busy, and now they'll likely end up in the trash too. After two separate experiences like this, I can't afford or justify coming back. Very disappointing.

Bear Flag later explained that those tables are public seating and not owned or controlled by them, those were their customers and it still impacts the overall guest experience since the area is right by the restaurant entrance. I wonder if the health department would be ok with them ignoring their customers creating a health code violation. When I reached out, the response felt dismissive rather than helpful. They said 25 minutes is fairly standard because they're one of the busiest restaurants in Orange County. I would have appreciated more accountability and a more customer-focused response. The experience left a bad impression.

Most people brought their own pails or ice coolers to hold them in. The slices were on the thinner side, but the quality was still amazing, especially for the price point. Fresh, clean flavors, and you can tell the fish is high quality. I totally wish we could've tried more items, but we had just eaten lunch beforehand. The employees and the owner, I think, was really friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better.
