This is a winery offering 3 different vineyards to taste, but what I recommend first is to go take the self-tour of the cave. It is spectacular - including some old Chinon from 1899 (not sure if that was just for show, but we were impressed!) There's also a little movie and seating at the back of the cave - this was all very VERY well done. The staff were all very knowledgeable and passionate about their wine - and although not required, they spoke English for me - which is always appreciated!!
We were travelling, or we would have bought a LOT more wine than we did. Our preference went to the old vine Chinon, but we also enjoyed some of the whites offered too.
Next time we're in Tours, we will definitely take another side trip to Chinon and come here again! read more
