We decided to stop off and grab a meal on a quiet Wednesday afternoon. And what a good decision it was. Although a bit unprepossessing in terms of looks (the interior is painted a simple pink and there is little in the way of ambience), the menu offered a surprisingly wide array of choices. As our party of five had very different interests in eating, we all got a diverse set of dishes. From my simple scone and latte to my son's Mexican smash burger, everything was quite tasty and reasonably priced. They do seem a bit short-handed, but overall no complaints at all. Definitely worth a stop if you're nearby.

It's relatively new and the lady who works there who is also the owner is very friendly and chatted with me while I was there. I had an Americano which was pretty good and only costed €1.80 which is really cheap when you compare it to the usual €2.80~€3.00 coffees you see at most other coffee shops. The cafe itself is very small with just one table seat and a few seats by the window, but it's nice and cute plus very strategically located right opposite to where all the buses leave! They also serve food like pastries and wraps and it's only €3 for a coffee + pastry combo. They didn't have any milk option besides whole milk, but other than that this a very nice inexpensive coffee shop!

These are but some of the images evoked by holidays by the beach and this is usually the state I find myself in whenever visiting this Londis. Its is in the small seaside village of Fethard on Sea and is one of those typical local medium sized supermarkets that for its size is surprisingly well stocked. They've a large baking section, a frozen food area, a respectable veg selection, although it can vary depending on delivery days, a home goods area, and all the bits and bobs you might find yourself without if you were staying on one of the many campsites or holiday homes nearby. They also have a sweet and ice cream section which are what sugar addicted kids dreams are made of. It's maybe a little expensive for some items, but that's to be expected when they are the only option for miles, but they are handy in a pinch and are reasonably priced for the basics. I also LOVE that they stock a good amount of local produce which they clearly label as such; eggs, bacon, milk, honey, yoghurt, great brown bread, all from nearby in Wexford, there are even salad bags in the summer from a local woman's garden.  One thing that was surprising to me is that they don't have fresh fish caught locally, perhaps there's no demand, but it's a shame. Instead there's a guy who comes by early on Saturday mornings with a van that parks at the side of the shop from whom you can buy the local catch. All in all a grand little spot with friendly staff that I'm a regular at when in the sunny south east.

They have 2 indoor seating areas and a large outside seating area and the atmosphere is very relaxed and quiet, perfect for sitting down with a book for a while. I ordered an Americano which was €2 which was good and they gave a free complimentary chocolate! They serve coffee, tea, hot chocolate and also have a variety of chocolates, pastries, cupcakes and sweet treats for sale in addition to some pre packed sandwiches and salads. Chocolate gift boxes are also available. The staff were friendly and there is free Wifi, you just need to ask for the code. Overall a nice cute cafe, reasonably priced compared to the big coffee chains and open every day. I would compare it to Butler's Chocolate cafe, only cheaper and local!
