We were checking out a children's store a couple towns over and someone told us we had to come here. They were right the prices are awesome. The owner is super friendly. He helped us find everything we were looking for. He also told us that he will only buy like new or new items. "If I wouldn't buy it for my grand kids I'm not putting it in here." It really doesn't feel like you're shopping at a consignment store with how many new with tags items he has in there. I got items for my son, nephew and niece for less than I'd pay for one of them elsewhere. There is baby equipment such as swings, seats, strollers and play yards in great condition. Wish I would have known about this spot sooner. He will also buy any children's items from you for cash on the spot. Please note your items have to be in great condition. I appreciate that he only takes high quality items. Some others that were shopping there also mentioned they come from out of town as well to get stuff here. Wow! I could really go on about this place but I'll stop.

Indiana Mall

Indiana Mall is another of these small regional PA malls that most people don't know exists unless…read morethey are from the area. Mall is a short drive from US-422. Has several decent anchor stores including Dunham's, Kohl's, and JCPenney, with part of the former Sears and Kmart still vacant. Interior of the mall is very retro and I doubt it has ever been renovated as it has two fully functional fountains. There are also several very retro sitting areas. Interior still has a decent number of stores, but there is without question vacancy. The slum lord ownership by Kohan Retail investment Group (or one of its partners/affiliates) is starting to show here, but it's not critical. Yet. One of the other interesting tenants is a PennDOT Driver's License Center. The mall still has a four-screen movie theater accessible from an outside entrance. There is no dining onsite aside from Auntie Anne's. Overall, I found this mall to be in better shape than I expected, and if new ownership could purchase it, Indiana Mall could remain a functional part of the community for years to come.

As of the time of my review, stores included GNC, Luxenberg's Diamonds, Maurice's, Bath and Body Works, Claire's, Spencer's, Kay Jewelers, JCPenney with a Sephora, the Shoe Department, and American Eagle. Other stores that I could access from the outside of the building included Kohl's and Harbor Freight. For restaurants, I saw an Auntie Anne's. I also saw recreational businesses such as Glow Golf, a party center, and martial arts. In the center of the mall were tables where small local businesses sold arts and crafts. The DMV also had an office for tests and photos here. I walked inside a couple of stores, and zero salespeople spoke to me, and I ended up purchasing no products, but I consider the mall to be overall OK for residents of this small city.

This is a must-stop if you are heading to Amish country and want some gifts to bring home.

There are tons of items to sift through, if you want a sneak peak as to what they offer check out their Facebook page, every so often you might get a glimpse of something you have been looking for popping up on there. Honestly, that's how I had discovered this little gem of a place. Once you walk in the doors you see just how much this place has to offer. The space is packed to the brim and then some. Everything that you can think of is under this roof. Just when you think you have gone through it all, turn a corner and discover a new space with more items to sift through. Mind the flow of customer traffic while in here. The aisles are small and cramped, so kind of go with the flow of how other customers are going. Be kind to one another as well, if you are holding up the line move along or at least get as close to what you are looking at to let others pass by. The hardest thing about this spot is not knowing what is actually for sale or the pricing of some items. I did notice that a lot of what is up for grabs here does not seem to have pricing and most times you will ask a price and be told on the spot what the price may be, it sets you up to haggle a bit over the prices. Also, not everything that is displayed on the floor may be up for sale. I had picked up an item, carried it all through the store only to be told when I asked the price that the item is not for purchase and it was going to go online for auction. Really wish that there was a section that was blocked off with such items so you know not to go through them. I didn't want to go online for an auction for the item, so I let it go. Especially since you know that there is going to be research into how much the item could be worth, you will probably end up paying more in the end. All in all this is a decent place to come and find an item from your past that you can add back to your life. Or maybe find something that will be useful to you. Definitely worth the time to come through and try to find that prize.

It's a tradition to stop every time I visit Cook Forest. I can honestly say it's the best store around for gifts or anything relating to Cook Forest. Some of the local gift shops have nice items - sure - but I have found they are mostly overpriced or mostly all homemade items. Parkers has a great selection of everything from toys, t-shirts, mugs, sandals, purses, jewelry candy etc. The list goes on and on. I enjoy every visit and always find something new to take home as a treasure. I love the jewelry the most!! Parkers has a nice selection of homemade jewelry as well as sterling silver and much more. They are open into the fall season. If it's before Memorial Day or after Labor Day I always call to ensure they are open. I was not able to "check in" when I visited the store over the weekend. I kept getting an error message stating I was too far away to check in but - I was there? I think it might be a mailing address or something off on how it's listed on yelp. I wasn't disappointed. Huge selection and tons of different booths. I ended up with the hand-tooled Mexican Leather bag for only $40 and a set of Hazel Atlas Glass S&P with a specific design my family collects. Unfortunately the CC machine was down and I didn't have cash (no atm on site), so I did have to leave and drive into Indiana to use an atm which was an inconvenience. Would definitely come back next time I pass through!
