There is a sliding scale and you pay what you can afford, no questions. I like that Chinese practice is done here which is not at the POCA clinic I attend normally in Nashua. The practitioner feels your pulse and checks your tongue before administering needles. He also wipes all areas with alcohol before needles are placed. I really appreciated this extra concern for hygienics. It is a small studio with only 6 chairs. I like the Buddhist OM music playing and the sound mufflers etc. The climate is controlled and air conditioned. I've seen her over the years for many things, but perhaps most…read moreimpressively was when she succeeded in making me pain free after 5 years of failed attempts working with Western doctors. The thing I tell people when I recommend acupuncture and Oriental medicine, is that it works by STRENGTHENING your body and your natural healing systems. So even if something isn't cured, you're likely to feel better and be in better general health, as well as a better position to take allopathic medicine if you still need to. For instance, when I needed to take an allopathic medicine that was very hard on my liver, after some months I had "the shakes," (I couldn't keep my hand steady, and even my jaw was jittery). I had no idea that it was from the medicine. Verena saw this symptom, commented that it was a sign of a weakened liver, and successfully treated it--by strengthening my liver! I don't think she even knew I was on that medication, she just treated the weakened part of my system, and it worked.
