Our adolescent child met clinical criteria for discharge and was ready to step down to a less restrictive level of care. Despite this, the psychiatrist extended the inpatient stay by an additional two days, resulting in a six-day hospitalization that did not appear to be clinically necessary or individualized. Decisions seemed to be based on an average length of stay for adolescents rather than our child's specific needs and progress. This psychiatrist does not typically work with adolescent patients and was serving as the on-call physician, yet chose to continue overseeing care during a particularly busy period. This lack of specialization was evident in her approach. Communication was minimal, condescending, and dismissive. Feedback from the treatment team and our family was not considered, and there was no sense of collaboration or shared decision-making. As parents, we felt completely unheard and powerless. The extended stay caused unnecessary stress, anxiety, and uncertainty for our child at a very vulnerable time. The lack of empathy and poor bedside manner left a lasting negative impact. This experience significantly eroded our trust and left us feeling hopeless rather than supported. We would not recommend this provider for adolescent inpatient care. We are currently consulting legal counsel about our experience and hope this review helps other families avoid the same distress. What happened to us reflects, in our view, serious problems with the involuntary treatment system and how some providers operate within it. Please proceed with caution, ask questions, and make sure your voice is heard. Families deserve compassion, honesty, and respect -- values we did not experience under Dr. Ahmari's care.

I talked to Kelly when I made the appointment and thought she was very nice and was looking forward to meeting her. We got there 15 minutes early and the door to her suite was locked with no note or anything say she was in session or would be back shortly so we waited awhile and then I called her and left a message telling her that we were there and waiting. We waited another 15 minutes and I called her again but never heard back so we finally left and never got a call. That night after I took my sister home I called Kelly again and said that I hoped that she was okay and that I was upset about her not being there and I have never heard back from her.

Problems do not get resolved and instead leadership (Eric Ward) becomes condemning / defensive from what appears to be ego injury over feedback. I was stunned how he spoke down to me. Therapists tell you one thing and then tell someone else another thing, breaking trust. It's an unfortunate place. I was told I was not committed to their site despite being a long term client since 2018. There were errors on their end of going back and forth on whether or not I could do sessions over audio or not and when it got confusing; they just condemned and blamed me in a childlike manner. It was due to scheduling incompetence on behalf of FCS...the receptionists have given inconsistent information on whether or not I could do audio sessions. Because the receptionists went back and forth on what kind of session I could book, I was told I wasn't compliant. I also tried one therapist and didn't have a connection and was told I was not compliant over this - so be careful. You should be allowed to try a therapist without being shamed for deciding it's not a fit for you. However this got thrown back at me as "not being compliant with treatment" by a manager a few years younger than me who simply has a degree. However the lack of professionalism in these ways shocked me of the effectiveness of said degree. I am stunned to say, my session content also got thrown back in my face with him using it as a reason to belittle my concerns as I was told "I've read your medical records." I mean that is seriously scary to have someone gaslight your concerns away because they say they read your notes on session. And what in session would invalidate any of my valid concerns? Basically you do not want your personal data that's supposed to be HIPPA compliant thrown in your face by these people when you have feedback about staff giving inconsistent info to invalidate your concerns. How I was treated, it reminded me of a cult. Haven't they ever seen a Dr Ramani video on narcissism?
