Cathedral Park is great for one obvious reason - the location. Prime access to metro, buses, and everything else from Connecticut Avenue. The building was great and I never had a problem with neighbors or noise, inside or out, even though it's right across from the zoo. However, in the year that I lived there, we ended up with mice last summer (2009). I lived on the 2nd floor and I believe we killed 3 mice, and I know people on the ground floor were having pretty serious problems... with 8+ mice at a time. I moved out about 6 weeks after the infestation started, and at that time, the management was not doing anything about the problem other than having the weekly exterminating company place more glue traps in the condos/apartments. In a building of that size, I doubt they were able to completely stave off the problem doing that, so just a word to the wise - plug up anywhere you can with steel wool if you're willing to deal with the problem. It seemed the problem didn't really exist before then, so who knows what brought it on, but if I were going to rent from an owner in that building, it's something I would want to know, so I decided to post. read more
