The oysters, from Texel, were the biggest oysters I've ever had and were flavorful without being overly salty or strong. The lamb was from the island, too, and I was told that they use all cuts of the sheep, which is why you get a selection of different cuts (each was near different sauces on the plate, so you could see which cut went best with which sauce). The meat was tender, and though it didn't even need them to be delicious, I enjoyed the sauces that went with it (and the crunchy coriander that was on one of the cuts). Thank you, Eilandkeuken, for such delicious food and such an enjoyable experience!

If a grade of 5 stars +++ was possible they would get it! The restaurant is located in Hotel Greenside in De Koog (excelent hotell as well, stayed there twice). The staff was tentative, polite and quick, they could not have done a better job! We've ordered a three-course dinner, which they served a little teaser before, a white-asparagus soup with a cracker with serrano ham, very delicious. The starter was a steak-tartar, which they with no problem substituted for a more pregnant-friendly dish for my wife. (I cant exactly remember what the complete dish was, I should have written it down), I am attaching pictures to the review though! Main-course was a lovely cod with new-potatoes and a crab-sause reduction, it was absolutely perfect! Dessert, once again I should have written down exactly what it was, but it was some kind of mango-mouse with ice-cream on crumbles and a cake. If you are on Texel and want a really good restaurant and food experience, you have to visit this restaurant.
