It appears that the recipes are a little different now. I ordered chicken korma, very spicy, and it was just OK. The chicken chunks are a lot bigger now. Bigger chunks take more time to cook, making the chicken very dry. The veggies and sauce are also different. The dish was more mild than spicy. I remember a lot of Chinese restaurants doing this. I guess the chefs are trying to protect us from ourselves... My dining partners ordered chicken tikka masala and had the same comments. One other person ordered the mixed grill (tandoori grill???) and again, everything was really overcooked and dry. There was no wine or beer available. We asked if we could bring in either and were told, "no." They were very polite about it, but this is not illegal in Ohio, at least, the attorney we were dining with said it was perfectly legal to do this. I know I've dined in establishments where there was no liquor, beer or wine available and patrons were allowed to bring in their own. Casa Que Pasa in Athens, Ohio, comes to mind, but that was a loooooong time ago and, for some reason, my memories of meals there are kind of foggy anyway :). The restaurant does have the right to charge a "corkage fee" if they desire. Anyway, not sure wine would be my preference for Indian food, but beer!!! Nothing goes better with hot, spicy food than a beer that's indigenous to that country (Taj Mahal or Kingfisher!!!). Of course, the kitchen needs to get the spice lever right. For an appetizer, we did order some vegetable pakoras and they were really great. I believe we also ordered some onion kulcha too and that was great. Anyway, not the worst I've had, but not what was being offered at the Airport location. The place is young and there are probably some things to work out. I'll definitely try this again.

The food is the same food they made out in Levis Commons. Same bread. Same ideas about what belongs between bread. All very good. They just opened, so there are still small things being figured out -- the kind of small things nobody notices until they don't work. Go anyway. A sandwich is a remarkable object when you think about it, and Sarnies has a very specific, very lovely opinion about what to do with one. They deserve your support. I am happy about all of this.

I first contacted Dar Catering in August 2011. This was not without reservation because I had read…read morea negative review of this business on the internet. That review reported that the caterer never showed up the day of the scheduled event. To be fair this was the only review positive or negative I could find. A check of the Better Business Bureau also turned up no complaints. I felt that at least it was worth discussing my needs and concerns. I left a message and within 24 hours I got a return call from a representative. I explained that was interested in a catered pig roast at our house. During the discussion it was explained that a DJ or live band and bar tender could also be provided. I ask that an itemized estimate be provided. The representative took my email and promised she would contact me not later then the following Monday. While on the phone I did ask about the negative review and the representative stated that she was unaware of this situation because she was a new employee. She did say that she had known Mr. Childs for a number of years and was surprised to hear of this. She also explained that he had contracts that could be signed if that was a concern. Feeling a little bit relieved I was looking forward to the estimate. That was the last I heard from Dar's Catering by phone or email. Sure was a disappointment and with the previous review I think a predictable trend is becoming clear. Just be a little cautious and I think a contract would be essential for business with this catering company.

Parking is shared with a number of other businesses in the area. I did not have a problem in finding a parking spot. 130 people were at this 50th reunion. The hall accommodated them in a cozy but roomy space, utilizing the outside area as well. It was a cash bar, you could run a tab as I did. The food was excellent.
