Ananda Rochita is simply the best photographer & ally one could have on their wedding day. She &…read moreher husband made the perfect photographer duo, with ability to capture both us & our guests' most memorable moments at our San Francisco wedding. One guest remarked: While many photographers taken dozens of shots (firing click after click), Ananda takes just a few - and nails it perfectly. When we first searched for wedding photographers, we'd exhausted Yelp queries. Many photographers were fully booked or didn't have our preferred style of photography, so we used an alternative site, where we'd found Ananda to stellar reviews across other websites. It turned out that Ananda didn't have a Yelp page since she moved to SF, so was a hidden gem for us. We loved her online portfolio of wedding photography - modern, elegant, simple, clean with stunning portraits that captured the moment. Only later did we learn that she was also a reporter with ABC10 in Sacramento. When needed, she is a powerhouse, able to organize our (disorganized!) relatives into key groupings for the portraits - and nailing the end result. Highlights: 1. Stunning results, even in suboptimal photography settings. Despite an indoor church wedding & cloudy SF day, we had radiant, brightly lit perfect groups of family & friend portraits, capturing pure joy (& no blinks!). Our own wedding portraits were taken on a very windy, cold day - yet we couldn't tell by looking at the final photos. Despite our indoor reception venue, Ananda & her husband captured the most memorable moments of our wedding & guests - often without us even noticing. 2. Request for same-weekend highlights. While we'd asked Ananda for 10-15 key family portraits for same-weekend turnaround, Ananda went above & beyond - even offering photos for our wedding evening slideshow (which we ultimately lacked time for). Ananda's same-weekend highlight photos were such a hit amongst our friends & family. 3. Responsiveness. Ananda was always responsive, from the first consultation call to day-of & post-wedding. We never lost confidence in her communications. 4. Additional help & support As we ran low on time prior to the wedding, Ananda & her husband were rocks in helping us take first look photos, while at times collecting our items & helping us get to our venue in time. They were simply a big help throughout. 5. High-tech & efficient. From contract signing to online, password-protected photo gallery with original, high & web-sharing resolution photo downloads, Ananda noticeably used the most high-tech tools throughout. We are so grateful to Ananda & her husband for their stunning wedding photography, help & support on our big day. If any reference is needed, feel free to comment on Yelp & happy to answer any questions.

I cannot thank Ananda enough for her amazing work and dedication to the job! Two days before our…read morewedding we had to change the date to a day earlier due to weather. I cannot stress this enough. Of all the vendors we worked with she completely understood the circumstance and how stressful this was for the family to pull this together and MADE IT HAPPEN. Our whole original plan that we worked on for months was almost completely out the window. Ananda rolled with the flow and was able to collaborate with us, my family, and the other vendors to pull off the experience. Originally we found Ananda after reaching out to a friend in the wedding business about photography services in our budget for the wedding. We were hooked up with a few options. I discussed what I was looking for with about five different photographers and decided upon Ananda for multiple reasons. I went through her portfolio and loved her natural style and attention to details that were important to each bride and groom. We went over budget and hours and were able to make a plan that worked for both of us. Over the months of planning Ananda had this questionnaire that helped her get to know us as a couple and what was important to capture for us. We had her personal cell for any last minute questions either of us had and she was always quick to respond. All of the photos came back AMAZING and quickly! It only took her a month, in the middle of wedding season, to get all the photos back to us! This whole experience was a 5/5. Ananda was the best vendor were worked with through the entire wedding experience. She was professional but also gave that personal touch that made us feel like we were important.

They were amazing in terms of their story boarding, helping me come up with concepts, and planning the special day. Julia is also a talented make-up artist. Overall, you cannot get a better crew in terms of a one stop shop with photos, video, and makeup. Professional - Julia and Pedro were amazing in terms of responding to emails, text, and calls. We had a good amount of zooms to make sure we got the special day perfect. Additionally, they came with a great concept for how to turn my vision into a reality. It is no surprise that Pedro is a regular with Vice. His work is FIRST CLASS in terms of how he edited the video. Story-Tellers - Below is a link to the video Pedro and Julia created. The ACTUAL best. Hands down no question about it…read more I have had the pleasure of working with these insanely talented women for about 5 years now as the owner of Events by Rebecca and a wedding planner myself. However this time around I got to be the client after I hired them for my very own wedding this month. Of course, client is SO not the right word. These ladies quickly make you feel like you're their best friend in the whole wide world. Are you like me and nervous about being in front of the camera? Welp, look no further. I have NEVER felt more comfortable being photographed literally all day. PLUS engagement photos!! And it's all thanks to Lindsay and Mandy, they made my now husband just as comfortable too - and managed to get some INSANELY good photos of us even tho he was SO DONE taking pics (can I get an amen from any ladies out there dealing with guys ‍) Selecting your photographer is such a personal decision. It's not just someone to snap a couple photos of you and your friends/family so you don't have to. It's SO MUCH MORE. It's a finesse, an art form, that takes years of experience to master. It's an understanding of your quirks, what really makes your eyes smile, your chemistry - what works for a good photo of you and what doesn't. It's seeing the shot before they take it and making sure to snap it just right, in the right light, at the right angel with the right lense. It's crafting a timeline BASED OFF THE SUN. Yep I said that right - they will make your timeline based on all they know about indoor vs. outdoor lighting, time of day (morning vs. evening light) etc. THEY WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU. And it's RIDICULOUSLY FUN!!! I've never felt more like a superstar in my life haha! Photography is so important - not just in weddings but in all events. It's the one lasting piece of the day outside of your own memories. It's worth the investment to pick someone who... gets it. Who works their a** of for it to be everything you didn't even know you wanted. Who makes you cry with the delivery of the most breathtakingly gorgeous photos you have ever laid eyes on. Don't risk your lifelong memories, your comfort and worry free vibes on a craigslist bargain or a "friend with a good camera". Trust me. You'll 100% regret it. I mean - just look at these photos. I can't wait to hand them down to my grandkids one day

I have never been too comfortable in front of the camera, but with them, it was very different. My husband and I were not too keen on taking engagement photos and when we first considered wedding photographers, I initially thought cheap, cheap, cheap! I wanted to save money for a honeymoon, and I just didn't think it would be a worthwhile investment. After looking at portfolios and comparing work, I immediately knew we had to go with Lumi. Seeing their work, hearing the passion, and spending time with them made me immediately understand that every dollar spent would be worth it. (it's been 8+ years and every time I see our photos I am grateful we went with them!!!). They captured all the magic and all the real that is a wedding. We are so fortunate to choose to go ahead with engagement photos and those were absolutely incredible. (We had family friends that could have sworn they were magazine photos!) I felt so incredibly comfortable with them and they made me feel so special that I even chose to do a boudoir shoot as a surprise and I cannot recommend that enough to someone who wants to feel beautiful, have a fantastic experience, and have images that document that beauty that we all have on the inside. Thank you Lindsay, Thank you Mandy. You shared the ultimate gifts with us in your talents.

We chose Anfinson Photography to photograph our wedding for a few reasons:…read more 1) Their prices are competitive and include more service for your dollar. Most photographer packages include 2 photographers six hours. Anfinson provides two photographers (both with degrees in photography) for SEVEN hours. May not seem like a big deal, but you do the math. 2) ALSO included in your package are the digitals & rights to all your proofed/finished photos (many photographers charge extra for this). 3) I liked the husband/wife team. Stephanie was with me during prep. Kevin was with my husband. 4) They include (at no extra cost) an engagement shoot with all the same perks as the wedding package. 5) The work product speaks for itself. They were patient, creative, and kind throughout the entire process. The finished product is breathtaking. We are sold as life-long clients. Family shoots, maternity pics, you name it.
