Transformative Recovery at Catalyst Physical Therapy - Highly Recommended! I had been unable to walk or bear weight on my right leg for two full years, with my muscles atrophied to the point where I relied on a walker for mobility. My first experience with another physical therapy group lasted 8.5 months, but their mundane exercises lacked focus on rehabilitating my hip, leaving me no closer to independence--I was still dependent on the walker. Switching to Catalyst Physical Therapy was a game-changer. In just 10 weeks, I've made incredible progress and am on the verge of ditching the walker in favor of a cane. This milestone feels monumental! I have nothing but praise for the therapists at Catalyst. Walking into the waiting room, you'll often hear unsolicited endorsements from other patients--about half the time, someone will chime in, declaring it the best physical therapy they've ever experienced, with results far superior to anywhere else. What sets Catalyst apart is Jorge Guerrero's leadership in selecting and overseeing a team of exceptional therapists who truly understand injuries, the human body, and the precise rehabilitation needed. Their treatments are targeted, goal-oriented, and designed to restore normal function by addressing the specific areas requiring attention. Based on my transformative journey, there's no other physical therapy practice I'd trust or recommend more highly. I give Catalyst Physical Therapy the highest possible rating--5 stars all the way! If you're seeking real results, this is the place to go. read more

Catalyst Physical Therapy, led by Jorge Guerrero, PT, is the BEST. After a few negative experiences with other PT clinics, I was resistant to seeking help. But I worked for a rehab therapy agency for 11 years and saw how much good comes when patients are treated by A+ therapists. In May 2021 I fell in the shower and tore my rotator cuff after already struggling with frozen shoulder; I needed pain relief and rehab STAT. I was evaluated and treated by Michael Landin, PT, and depended on him for pain relief for two years. After shoulder rehab ended, my whole body needed a lot of attention, but no matter what we tried I wasn't really improving. When Mike left in April of 2023, I transferred to Jorge, because I had watched him for two years and knew he was the best PT I had ever seen, and, well, only the best for this princess! TBH, I was so loyal to Mike that it took me some time to trust Jorge completely but letting him treat me was definitely the right decision. Jorge works hard to figure out my weird body, and I am extremely grateful for his sharp skills and superior knowledge. He has helped me make so much progress and I can finally feel and see the difference in my body. I now trust him implicitly and credit him with helping me more than any health care practitioner ever has. I seek to surround myself with people who inspire me and Jorge does so without fail WHILE helping me heal and figure out my body's quirks. I usually leave feeling like I learned something and can grow into a healthier version of me. Obviously, I am a believer and could proselytize all day, but the bottom line is you should consider this place if you need PT, you WILL NOT be sorry! read more

I've been seeing Jorge for a year and a half now. I went from twice a week session to now only seeing him when I need to. Thanks to him I feel like I have my life back. I got diagnosed with neurogenic thoracic outlet syndrome. After months of being told by many other doctors it was all in my head, I got validated by Jorge who believed me and developed a plan of action always with my input to help get my body back. It took longer than my ACL surgeries from soccer, but through movement, exercise and body awareness all taught to me by Jorge and his team I am finally at a place where I can run, lift weights, go paddle boarding with friends and hold my babies. Thank you Jorge and Eduardo !! read more

This is the best place to go for PT. I am about a month into treatment prior to having back surgery and I'm feeling stronger. Dr. Stone and his team is the best! It's the only PT I have been to that not only uses machines and bands but other treatments such as cupping, needling and compression devices . I plan on going back after my surgery. I highly recommend them. They have 2 locations one in Castle Hills and one in Stone Oak. if you want to work with a great team while listening to good music and getting Results this is the place for you! read more

Catalyst Physical Therapy is the best PT I've ever encountered. Personalized, tailored recover plan and thorough evaluation leads to quick resolution to your pain. Jorge and Mike have instinctive healing abilities to teach and adjust you. Not a gym. The kind of people that individually assess your problem and work with you gently to recover. I had rotator cuff surgery and they did the post surgery physical therapy. I was pain free in no time with minimal effort because they know just what to do. I'm still a very happy patient, as they are helping me with basic conditioning and body alignment. I've been walking wrong for decades! Who knew? They are both highly educated and consistently keep up with changes in the field. They also do acupuncture to relieve pain immediately. As you can tell, I can't say enough good about these guys. They literally have changed my life with minimum pain and aggravation! Even if you are very athletic and somehow hurt yourself, I've seen them get pros back into their sport in no time. read more

Great people at Catalyst, highly recommend for any physical therapy and Jorge is awesome.

I felt at peace within the first few moments of my initial evaluation at Catalyst Physical Therapy. That's not something that I say lightly, as I've been at the end of my rope with my physical ailment for a while now. I'm not just recovering from a sports injury or recent surgery, but I have chronic issues with my joints that leave me in constant pain. I've previously been to both orthopedic surgeons and rheumatologists who have helped alleviate my pain in their respective capacities. However, the physical therapy treatment I've received at Catalyst has restored my hope and given me confidence that I can get back to the pursuit of happiness. During my initial evaluation, Michael seemed to intuitively know exactly what was wrong with me and how to fix it even though all he knew was that I had a medical history of joint issues and was experiencing knee pain. It should be understood that I am not an easy person to diagnosis. I am very prideful and try my best to hide any discomfort and pain that I may be experiencing. Due to this, I felt very reticent and vulnerable in explaining my infirmities. Michael handled it with empathy and a sense of humor mixed with confidence. Once he absorbed my medical history, he evaluated my biomechanics and set a course of treatment that included correcting issues I have with my feet as well as my hips. Michael explained to me in common terms how my problem with my knees was interrelated to the way I held my feet and positioned my hips. I have been to several physical therapy clinics over the past 10 years to find a resolution for my chronic join pain. Most of the places just ran me through standard knee strengthening exercises and never took the time to actually get to the root cause of my issue. These attempts were never successful as not all knee problems are the same. The Sherlock Holmes level of critical thinking that Michael used to deduce the cause and the best strategy for resolution was impressive and kept my spirits high. I have progressed further and faster than all of the previous clinics simply based on the attention to detail that was shown in thoroughly evaluating my biomechanics. The key was that Michael tailored the course of treatment to my specific impairment. The sessions have been both restorative through the techniques of knee distraction as well as strengthening through joint mobility exercises and optimal load-bearing exercises. They also incorporate hands-on, advanced manual therapy treatments that have made all the difference in the world. Manual physical therapy is a specialized form of physical therapy delivered with the hands as opposed to a device or machine. In manual therapy, practitioners use their hands to put pressure on muscle tissue and manipulate joints in an attempt to decrease pain caused by muscle spasm, muscle tension, and joint dysfunction. Michael demonstrates very astute observational skills as well as a tremendous amount of patience. Each session presents a new problem as we peel away the layers of the onion and each time he is quickly able to identify the problem and take the steps necessary to solve the problems. I also tend to ask a lot of questions during my therapy and each time he is able to effectively communicate the medical jargon in such a way as to make it meaningful to me and enable me to continue the therapy at home. The last thing I'll say is that Michael has a lot of passion or "ganas" as my high school football coach would have said. I once asked him how he came to be a physical therapist. He told me a story about learning as much as he could about therapy to help his father recover from a back injury and how that experience instilled in him a desire to pursue a career in physical therapy. Michael brings this same passion and compassion that he showed his father to his clients everyday and that's what sets Catalyst apart from all of the other ones I've previously been to. read more

I have only been here for about 3 weeks but was very comfortable and they definitely try to get to know you and remember about you. I have been very pleased with professionalism and nothing but great treatment. Unfortunately due to insurance I can't attend anymore but would recommend it to anyone. I am so grateful for Catalyst Physical Therapy and their services. I have had serious foot and ankle problems for over a year, and finally bit the bullet and saw a podiatrist for the express purpose of getting a physical therapy referral. I'm so glad I did, because I am gaining more strength and increased mobility with each visit. My therapist, Jorge, is professional and friendly, and an added bonus: he hasn't complained yet about my gnarly feet, which haven't seen a pedicure in over a month! But I digress. The level of expertise at Catalyst has helped expedite my recovery and well-being. The treatment itself consists of mostly strengthening exercies (for me at least), but I've also learned some preventative stuff for the future, too. I definitely recommend a visit if you are suffering with foot, ankle, hip, or shoulder injury pain. read more

A friend recommended this place. I've been going for over a year. At first it was fine, I liked the light hearted humor the Physical Therapist Jorge had and the interns. But the jokes got ugly, and many of the jokes uttered by the Physical Therapist, Jorge, himself, were extremely sexist, and at the expense of the female staff members. Over time, I began to have uncomfortable things happen, my hair was stroked, I was touched in ways that were not appropriate - my bra strap was played with, etc. I was being flirted with while on the table, and I didn't like it, but I needed help recovering from my injury. I didn't know what to do, so I totally ignored it. And I often would avoid going in when I really should have been getting help. The interns often do things unsupervised and with little instruction. As a result I was on two separate occasions shocked badly by the e-stim machine (electrical stimulation machine used to activate muscles). It was very painful and upsetting. Both times no one asked if I was ok, they just joked about me being "weird." I'm switching physical therapist immediately, I'm angry at myself for waiting so long, and playing it off. No one should have to put up with this. I have never been treated by Mike, perhaps he is more professional. read more

Great, compassionate, patience and intuitive. I have broken my leg and torn my ACL and meniscus and Mike was my primary physical therapist. He is very helpful and encouraging. He is also good at knowing limit. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for comprehensive therapy. Roxy and Chris are awesome also. The only downside is scheduling sometimes they get so busy you need to schedule further out. read more

I had major shouder surgery and was in pain after the surgery. So I needed a very good therapist. Jorge proved to be the best therapist that I could have had. He was very knowledgable and very friendly and expained what he was going to do and why. He started with passive movement and after I got some strength back he started me on strength excercise. Jorge and Diane are very profession and would not hesitate to refer new people to them. Thank you Jorge and Diane. Best regards Robert Bolanos read more
