Unfortunately corporate LA Fitness neuters and handicaps them and their staff after the renovation by having literally 1/2 the machine equipment they had previously. But 8 cage stations. Crazy. I mean - for sure the FGCU students use it, but this area is not called God's Waiting Room for no reason! What's with the lack of equipment??? I'm sure it makes the job more difficult for the staff too because many members say the exact same thing .... (I now go South to Naples which too has a great staff and manager (Paul!) to work out and go only to Ft Myers for cardio or a quick visit.)

In just one month, I've gained 7 pounds of muscle and feel a hundred times better about myself. I work out of town one week each month, and Josh always makes sure I have a routine I can follow on my own during that time. On top of that, he's helped me build a meal plan so I can eat healthier and get even better results. What I appreciate most is that Josh clearly isn't just in it for the money he genuinely wants to help people reach their goals and feel their best. I will say that this is a smaller 24 hour gym, so it obviously won't compete with LifeTime, Crunch, or Vasa; however, it was definitely adequate. You can easily make do and rip a solid lift for any and all muscle groups. One major piece of advice: try to go at a time when no one is there. If there are more than a few people there, you'll probably have to wait on equipment - luckily I didn't have to wait, but I could foresee that being an issue. The only (small) qualm I had was that there weren't any fans in the gym. Thanks y'all!

Note the pictures - some people are pigs. 30 minute workout area was tidy and while some people don't quite understand the concept here. It's not a "pick a machine and stay with it" sort of thing. It's a circuit and you're supposed to move on from one machine to the next to get a rounded workout over the course of a half hour. They have plenty of treadmills and ellipticals all pointed to a bank of televisions so you can tune in to a channel, plug your headphones in, and zone out while you work out. So that's nice. Of course my workout buddy is my hubby. We really like the selection of machines and we didn't have to wait for any of them. After my work out I decided to use the spa addition to the club. I really like the Total Body Enhancement booth. It really helped me feel good. Love the lights vibraplate and the whole experience. My second favorite is the hydro massage chair. Really helps me relax my muscles. We also got in a conversation with another fitness member who was such a joy. We enjoy this Planet Fitness a lot! Come here, get feeling better and meet nice peeps while getting a workout or spa day or both!
