OPEN DOOR CHECK OFF ALL MY NEEDS!!! And it was a huge bonus that I wasn't going to be spending $600, instead it was less than $300! Open Door is amazing and I recommend taking your animals to them! The employees there are all very kind, patient, and understanding! They gave me an update after surgery and the bonus was THEY SENT ME A PICTURE OF MY DOG AFTER SURGERY GETTING CUDDLES/PETS FROM STAFF!!! This was amazing because most places would just call and say "she's out of surgery and she did great" but instead I was able to see her with my own eyes doing great! Thank you so much Open Door for this amazing experience and excellent care!!!

Another important thing, if this team doesn't have the training or equipment to do something, they'll refer me or bring in a specialist (shout out to Dr S, the cardiologist they have come by!) So long as Dr B and Dr H are there, I'll drive from Flat Rock to see them!

Compassionate, Knowledgeable, and One of a Kind Care : Thank You, Dr. McMillan and Pinnacle Animal…read moreHospital I truly cannot express my gratitude enough for Dr. McMillan and the entire team at Pinnacle Animal Hospital. When we moved to the area over 10 years ago, he immediately earned our trust by taking such tender, thoughtful care of our senior pets. When it came time to say goodbye to them, the compassion and empathy he and his staff showed us will stay with us forever. Last year, we experienced the heartbreaking loss of our 2 1/2 year old Doberman. Dr. McMillan once again went above and beyond, guiding us with care, taking time with us, and helping us through the grief. To this day, they still talk about him. That kind of connection and remembrance is something you cannot put a price on. Dr. McMillan is not just a vet. He is a caregiver who truly knows his patients and their humans. He remembers names, answers every question without rushing, calls personally with updates, and ensures we are always prepared, especially when traveling with our pets. For him, it is never about the money. It is about the life, comfort, and longevity of the animals he treats. There are plenty of veterinarians closer to where we live, but we gladly drive over 35 minutes each way to see Dr. McMillan. We simply would not trust our pets with anyone else. We are so thankful for him and his amazing team.

No one seems on the same page. I have zero confidence in their communication. Sometimes you get a different vet tech in one visit. Won't be back.

She cost me over $2000 because she felt a foreign object in my dog's stomach. Not only was there no mass I drove to Greenville SC to get this diagnosis at a pet hospital that supposedly took my insurance suggested by this vet. They do not accept my insurance and had to come up with money to pay this bill. Let's talk about the INSURANCE she pushes. Trupanion. Supposedly pays the Vet or Hospital directly so no out if pocket expense. Good luck. Not only does she not support that but neither do the hospitals so be prepared to pay out of pocket and wait 4-8 weeks for reimbursement. She also pushes Purina dog chow....total crap! She told me it was advantageous to do an X-ray and bloodwork at her place because it would cost less however they repeated the X-ray when the didn't feel anything at the hospital. If you love your pet do not take them here. They never have time to see your dog and when they do they try and send you to MedVet which charges $1000 for an X-ray which I just found out she actually can do herself. That is another story in itself. Wonder what kick backs this vet gets!! Bottom line AVOID!!!
