Here is a grieving window, and she just could have picked up his ashes, when it was first scheduled. Then to find out, a family member who wasn't in charge took over her appointment, and made her wait 4 days a grieving widow. The person who I talked to wasn't friendly at all. I don't know what lies were told, but they didn't care anything I was telling them. I'm just warning, be prepared for that one family member, who has to control everything,they will take their side. I was really disappointed by how my mother had to wait 4 days, and how they treated me.

Visiting Greenwood Cemetery is very disheartening. The cemetery has become vandalized and worn down…read moreover the past decade. There are no security measures for this cemetery. The front gate is always open, and the cemetery can be accessed from almost anywhere, leading to vandalism and trespassing. These people and their families deserve respect and it's a shame that the cemetery has gotten to this point. There is a private burial ground within Greenwood for the Hoyt and Crawford families- some of the richest people to live in New Castle- and that is very well kept, but the rest of the cemetery is near shambles. The war memorial is down a dirt path and is not kept up with. As someone who has family here, I wish that the cemetery was better cared for. I know that the city claims to not have funding to keep up with it, but there isn't even an office or directory to offer help or donations to. Truthfully, I wouldn't burry my dead here, but I hope this cemetery can be salvaged.

My older brother actually became a Funeral Director, and eventually a Coroner, so I am really critical when I go to a funeral. The building for this FH is modern, as it was recently built. We chose them because they built next to the Cemetary where our family plot is. Our country is still under quarantine, so social gatherings are discouraged, but if your immediate family is more than 20 to start with, who do you tell not to come? Our chosen FD was both honest and concerned. He assured me that anyone who wanted to come would be welcome. We posted in the obituary that the service was private by invitation only, so the true family and friends will be there. We are confident there will not be any confrontations or negative energy tomorrow when we bury my son. Say a prayer for us, please.

It's almost like the review written by Gus was written by me. Wrong info on death certificate. Obituary not posted until after service. Cremation delayed-rescheduled service due to this. Cheap urn-has to buy one on Amazon that was nicer than theirs at half their price, communication sucked! And so on and so on. It was a hard stressful lesson I learned a little too late. Some may praise but for me it was all a nightmare that I'm glad is over!
