Neat little gift shop inside the purple castle house on Huron Parkway. I picked up a couple of gifts for my daughters for Christmas.

I love Better Health Store. The customer service is consistently great. While there are not always…read morea lot of employees available to assist throughout the store, it is a smaller, boutique style space, so that is understandable. When you do ask for help, the staff is usually very knowledgeable and happy to share insight on products and their benefits, which I really appreciate. They offer an impressive variety of health and holistic wellness options. Many of the products they carry are items you will not easily find at most stores, which makes this place feel thoughtfully curated. I especially like their selection of sea moss options and the different variations available. The store is on the pricier side, but that aligns with the quality and uniqueness of the products. What helps balance that out is their free membership program. You can sign up at no cost and receive member pricing and discounts, which honestly feels like a no brainer. Having both member and non member pricing is helpful, and the savings definitely add up over time. I also love that they have an in store cafe where you can order food and drinks. Their beverage and snack options lean toward the healthier side, and there are plenty of good choices to grab while shopping. Parking is easy since the store is located in a plaza with plenty of spaces. It is also conveniently located across the street from Whole Foods and near another major grocery store, which makes it easy to combine errands. While they do not carry every brand, they do carry a strong selection of quality health focused brands. Overall, this is one of my go to spots for wellness products, healthy snacks, and holistic options. It is a great store if you value quality, variety, and knowledgeable staff.

I had their fresh lentil soup which was incredible and had my favorite energy drinks here too. Took home some new products. What I got dissapointed at was their bargains at the entrance. The staff apparently didn't bother to check some of their products but some of the food on clearance has been expired for months! Regardless that I spent $2 and it wasn't much. It's something that shouldn't be overlooked. I do like the friendly staff and willing to give this place a second chance.

I'm probably shooting my self in the foot by posting about finding inventory of the viral cottage…read morecheese, because they are having a major MANUFACTURE SHORTAGE and it could get worse! :( But sharing is caring so you can thank me later. Good Culture went viral in 2023-2024, driving a massive resurgence in cottage cheese popularity through TikTok and Instagram trends, particularly with viral "whipped" recipes like cottage cheese ice cream. Known for its creamy texture and high protein, the brand saw nearly 90% growth in 2024, with users heavily featuring it in hacks, including bagels, dips, and savory blends. There was a pretty good amount of the tubs left and I was here in a busy Sunday Afternoon. If you have not tried it, do t wait it is delicious creamy no nasty fillers or emulsifiers and the PROTEIN content is high! You're welcome ;)

Either hand. Like I'm living in the future. Honestly, it feels a little alien. Like Whole Foods and extraterrestrials teamed up and said, "Let's confuse people in the best possible way." No wallet. No phone panic. Just me, my groceries, and my hand being accepted as legal tender. The food is great, the experience is smooth, and the palm payment system makes me feel like I should be wearing a silver jumpsuit. Five stars for quality, convenience, and casually turning me into a sci-fi character every time I check out.

It was probably more of a personality thing, but I just expect sort of a premium experience when I'm paying such high prices. I was really impressed with the guy at the customer service desk that helped me with a product I was looking for. He was able to ask an employee a clarifying question and give me history as to why that item was potentially discontinued and even gave me an estimated date for when it should be coming back. I was very impressed. I got the runaround at Whole Foods asking about this item and I didn't even try target. My kiddo has lots of significant anaphylactic allergies so we end up buying lots of expensive specialty items, and take the occasional trip to specialty grocery stores like Arbor Farms. I love the concept of shopping for Local Michigan items, but with a big family, this is not always in the budget. I will definitely be back with the level of service that I received from the Customer Service guy. Thank you so much!

I was stuck in traffic on Washtenaw Avenue and turned into Whole Foods for a break and to browse…read morearound. I was spoiled by past experiences at the Whole Foods in Chicago which is huge. This store is somewhat dimly lit and seems older. Love the selection of available premade options (spinach pie, lentil salad, etc.) The extensive salad bars didn't look particularly appealing to me since everything had clearly been setting out for a while, but there were many hot and cold choices. The person at checkout was friendly and the prices are higher, as expected at any Whole Foods. I enjoyed the items I purchased, as could not find at most grocery stores. I was there after some moderate snow and thought they could have done a better job of clearing the parking lot. I'd stop in again if in the area.

I prefer the Crankbrook Whole Foods to the Washtenaw location just because I feel like the store is better kept in the employees are slightly more helpful. It's difficult to get service at the deli counter due to the employees talking or just being busy with other things. I do like that this Whole Foods has a better selection. I did try to call the other day for a specialty product and I was put on hold multiple times and by the time I finally talked to someone 10 minutes later, I was not given accurate information, or honestly information at all. Instead of looking up the status of the product in whatever database they use, I was given a lazy answer. Slightly disappointing for how much money we spent at Whole Foods, but you're going to get the occasional lazy employee here or there either way. I feel like they have a good allergen selection so we keep coming back despite the price , but if possible, I tried to order a delivery or shop at the Cranbrook location.
