Am retired military and have lived all over. We couldn't be happier. As with any apartment complex there will always be some issues. But for us they have been minimal. Especially with up keep. The Managment are always on top of taking care of any problems we've had with our apartment. They also maintain the grounds and take great care to keep the buildings in great shape. I give the management and maintenance crews all the credit. Have lived in apartments before and have to say this ranks right up there as one of the best places have ever lived.

I want to share my experience as a current resident because I think it's important for people to…read moreknow what's going on here. Since moving into my apartment at Longhills on August 22, I have been dealing with an active roach infestation. I immediately reported the issue and have continued to follow up with management. Instead of addressing it openly and working with me to resolve it, I've been met with delayed responses, denial, and refusal to provide any transparency about whether this unit or building had pest issues before I moved in. When I asked directly if the apartment had a history of infestations, management refused to answer, claiming such records are "private, proprietary business records." They also claimed my unit is "habitable" despite the infestation. Meanwhile, I am the one living with the roaches and trying to make the apartment livable. I've kept documentation -- photos, emails, and receipts -- and will continue to do so. I think potential and current residents deserve to know how serious issues like this are handled here.

ROACHES and BEDBUGS have been an everyday occurrence…read moresince i moved in. this is the nastiest, grossest place i have ever lived. i only have two months left in my lease and i cannot wait to get out. we have begged them to fix out drier (we've lived here 9 months) once a month to fix the dries and they never have. we have also had our apartment treated for roaches AND bedbug's over three times and they are still just as bad as the first day. it is not worth it, no one should live here.

I had a complaint and received 3 different answers how they would solve the problem while the solution is clearly stated in the rental agreement how they would deal with this kind of complaint. So they don't even abide their own rules stated in rental agreement unless you're late for rent then they are on it like a chicken on a June bug. Also expect the presence of the police, fire department, ambulance or all three of them at the same time to be a weekly event.

The owner Kerry Smith stopped my son and his friend while walking around the complex, demanded them to tell him their names, and told them they were trespassing. Mind you he didn't have on a name tag, a Fieldstone t-shirt, and did not identify himself as management. He then told them he was going to call the police on them. The boys told him they lived in the complex but Mr. Smith did not listen to them. My son came home and told me what happened so I went outside and sure enough there was a white male with khaki shorts and a gray Nike t-shirt on holding paper and a ink pen. As you can imagine we did not have a pleasant conversation. Mr. Smith told me he asked the boys for their names because there have been break-ins in the area that black males have been committing. I wish I could write the whole story but my review will be cut off at a certain length. After our conversation I called the complex after hour number and filed a complaint and the lady at the answering service told me Mr. Smith was the owner. About an hour lady a man named Chris called me and apologized for Mr. Smith actions and said he would speak to the Manager but to keep in mind Mr. is over her. The ne t morning on my way to work I stopped by the office and Mr. Smith would not allow me to speak to the manager without him being present in the room. So I left and went to work. About 10 minutes later I briefly spoke to the manager on the phone who then magically finds a so called complaint on her desk that my son and the other victim were spraying a fire extinguisher the weekend before. Really? How typical to try and cover up so that they can attempt to justify whatever they were going to do next. My sons friend mother and her neighbor both received an eviction notice. I voluntarily told the manager I would move. I will not allow my son to be profiled due to a racist owner. I wouldn't recommend this complex to anyone.

(Wasn't even supposed to be out until Monday) He went to do a once over of the apartment with his mom (been in property management for over 30 years) to make sure there was nothing else he needed to do, cleaning-wise, since all the furniture and belongings were gone. (3 DAYS BEFORE THE KEYS WERE DUE IN) Went to the office to turn in the keys and was called a "d**k" by an employee when my husband asked if he was good to leave or did he need to sign anything. Unacceptable, unprofessional and definitely uncalled for. ***DO NOT RENT AN APARTMENT FROM THE LAKES AT HURRICANE CREEK***
