The avocado and bacon on toast was delicious. The coffee was good. There was only on server, so there was a little delay. However, she work fast and hard for each table. During the Summer Months its always packed with Tourists but it also does a brisk local trade too and is popular with regular customers. The Cafe is very popular for the All Day Breakfasts and Fish and Chips. They serve a range of British Home-Cooked Food, from Snacks and Sandwiches to traditional Fish and Chips or Gammon and Egg. The Conwy Cream Teas also go down a treat you'll get some freshly made Sandwiches and a Scone with cream and Jam along with a pot of Tea and Coffee which is perfect for a Quick Lunch time treat. The Staff here are very welcoming and Friendly and enjoy having a Chat with the customers. Both the Food and Drinks are good value, nothing is too over-priced and you get a nice size portion for your money. The Cafe is traditional style, very homely and its a lovely place to meet up with Friends for a Coffee and a Chat as you'll always feel Welcome.

Finally catching up on my reviews from a trip Sue and I took to Wales in July…read more One of our first stops after landing in Manchester was in Conwy. We stopped here as this is the town where Sue's mom was born. After wandering around on a Saturday morning we sought out a place that we might find a proper Welsh breakfast. We came upon the store part on the bottom floor and while inside I noticed a sign for a cafe just up the stairs. Mentioned it to Sue and we took a look. Cute little place. Busy on an overcast Saturday morning. We saw that they offered a Welsh breakfast and we were sold. The breakfast consisted of good toast and Welsh butter, sausage and bacon (you read that correctly), mushrooms, tomatoes and sunny side up eggs. It hit the spot after a long flight from the states. A good way to start a trip.

Yummm. I'm still craving the food I had here, and it's been about 2 weeks…read more.. I ordered a baked potato and chose to have mushrooms and cheese on it. My boyfriend ordered the brie and cranberry panini which I was also tempted by. Let me start by saying this- I love baked potatoes. I know what a good potato is, and all I can say is that The Press Room Cafe has amazing baked potatoes. At least the mushroom one is. It's served with a pile of cheese that melts quickly, and a stack of seasoned mushrooms that leave a nice sauce for you to dip the potato skin in. My favorite part was definitely the latter. It's also served with a decent salad- I enjoyed the dressing. I could only steal a few bites of the brie and cranberry panini, but it was as good as I expected. It's difficult to explain how the flavors compliment each other so nicely, but they do!

I was super pleasantly surprised by this place…read more It looks a bit eclectic and cobbled together, but in a "what they like" rather than a "what they dragged from a shop to fill a place" so it feels quite homely- the lighting is quite dim downstairs, and there is much more space down there. Now, don't be thrown off by the laminated menu like I nearly was, the food was great, and super cheap for a big afternoon tea. On our table was coffee, earl grey tea, brie and apple sandwiches, coronation chicken sandwiches, fruit scone, turkish delight scone (surprisingly epic, I just had to try it), carrot cake, chocolate fudge cake, for some reason- grapes, a bit of salad, crisps in a tea cup and a couple of little sweets. The staff were lovely, and it really is such good value.

Will even make a day trip from derby to go back there for lunch!!
