Froerer Real Estate and Property Management - Professional property maintenance

I've been a solid renter in the same property for going on five years, and the amount of times this…read morecompany Froerer, specifically Lance has broken the law and violated my tenant rights is astonishing. Yesterday, the most recent event I called a maintenance request because my stove and oven had broken. Mind you I replaced the stove myself because I was so scared to call because Lance is constantly screaming at me about everything. A friend gave me their old one, and it simply fell apart. Anyway, instead of sending maintenance Lance came over, looked at the stove and said it would need to be replaced. He then demanded to do an inspection without a 24 hr notice. Mind you, I have surgical tubes hanging my chest right now, and had a double mastectomy 4 days ago because I am fighting stage two breast cancer. I had literally just gotten out of the hospital 45 minutes prior to him arriving. My house is clean, and I am in full compliance with my end of the lease. He told me if I did not let him do the inspection right then and there he would be fining me for the stove. According to our lease he is responsible for replacing the stove. And retaliation is illegal. I told him I'm so sorry, but he was going to need to give me a proper 24 hour notice as I was feeling sick, fighting cancer, and was terribly sore from surgery still and needed to lay down. He started screaming in my face and threatening me, and so my son who was almost 18, had to get in the middle of us and tell him to leave. Froerer takes no disciplinary action against this. This is not the first time he has yelled at me and taken retaliations steps for me, holding him accountable to obeying the law. He also refuses to grant me access to my water bill every month and then gets mad at me if it's late. Legally, he is required to provide me a copy of my water bill every month but refuses. And whereas I have cancer right now I cannot go down to the water company this month and argue with them about releasing the information to me so that I can pay it. In the past he also charged me $300 to replace an old, nasty garbage disposal that stopped working. He has been nothing but a pain in the butt. I would not recommend renting from these slumlords.

They were hard to work with, unresponsive, the house was filthy, cobwebs everywhere, dust, fingerprints, mud, dirt, holes in the walls and on the floors and carpets. The toilet seats were also broken and gross, we replaced them with soft closing ones as soon as we moved in, Shower curtain rods since they were rusty and falling apart, and others. We had to have the carpets cleaned after we moved in since the house was such a disaster. We fixed some of the bigger holes since they would not. They said the owner did not want to be contacted and would not fix anything. When we moved in we called them to let them know how filthy the house was and they told us cleaning was subjective. We gave them a deposit of $2,400 this included a non-refundable pet deposit of $500 and a non-refundable leasing fee of $250 they gave us $1,000 back when they said it would be the full deposit of $1,650. It also took them over a month to return the $1,000 and only after we had called them about sending it. The house was 2143 Sego Street in West Haven, Utah. When we moved out we made sure it was cleaner than when we moved in and that the carpets were cleaned. We cleaned everything including the walls, windows, and carpets. Secure Property Management is not trustworthy, they will not give you back your money, are horrible to work with, and will not fix things. Do NOT rent, buy, or work with them! They will screw you over!

We built with Country West over 2 yrs ago, and to be honest, the experience was a little rough. We…read morehardly met face to face with anyone throughout the process...they took the dirt from digging the foundation and sold it to someone else...leaving us with nothing to grade with, forcing us to have to bring in 12 dump truck loads of dirt (not cheap), and the finishing work ran into some hiccups as well. The framing was not straight in our bonus room, and after bringing it to their attention may times...they did nothing about it...then the Sheetrock and finishing guys proceeded to throw up the drywall and baseboards. Still, nothing was done about the warped studs and nothing was flush. The wall looked like an elephant was leaning against it on the other side and it was caving in. I could stick my finger in between the drywall and the base board. It was pretty bad. Once we finally got over that hurdle, they tried to close the house on us prematurely. The finish work was maybe 90% done at the time? That was very disappointing to us. I wish the experience was a bit smoother. Do we love our house? You bet we do. There were just a few things that we wish had gone smoother, more responsibility from them, and more face to face time from Country West. If they improved their customer service experience a bit, i think they'll have it.

We recently moved into our new home that was built by Country West. This was not our first home…read morethat we have built and our experience was as good if not better than expected. We checked with other builders before and felt we were not getting as much bang for our buck as we expected. Country West allowed us to work directly with the Architect on the plans to make some changes to make this home ours and not just a cookie cutter plan. We worked with the sub contractors directly which gave us a tremendous amount of flexibility in how the finish product came out. All of the sub contractors were very professional and when my wife had to meet with them on her own they showed her a lot of respect. All of the subcontractors were what I would consider smaller home grown subcontractors. We liked this because they seemed to take a lot of pride in their work and it showed in the finished product. Flexibility was paramount with this builder. Many builders meet with you and then you can't make changes down the road. I know this probably drives these guys crazy at times but they never show it. We were given a contact for the financing early on in the process which proved to be a huge benefit. Our closing went smooth because of their thoroughness through the whole process. Like anything it was not all smooth sailing and we ran into a few snags but how the builder responded makes all the difference. Because we had built a home before we knew that the process is very involved and there were bound to be a few glitches. They were quick to respond and make the corrections quickly. Hopefully we never have build again, only because we really like where we are at now, but if we do we will definitely give Country West a call on our next home.
