Came for the Carlisle Castle on our way south. Just had limited time, so we chose this: the closest and official carpark of the castle.
It is pretty big, has lots of bays. Big enough for SUVs as well. And a section for RVs and tourbusses. Fees are reasonable. And there are plenty of spots in the shade (for hot days). Just a quick walk away from the historically important castle.
