I would not recommend consigning with this "business". I clearly understood and signed a contract with the knowledge that there is a time limit on merchandise that is held and will be donated if not sold within the stated grace period. However, I placed a phone call close to the time period that my grace would lapse and had 2 large items with them still (a beautiful picture and a distressed mirror from pottery barn). I was told that they would hang on to the items as it would just take the right buyer to see them and purchase them-they made a concession to the grace period. Knowing this I did not contact them again, thinking they would reach out to me when the items sold. A year went by and I contacted the "business" and was told they would get back with me. They did not. After a month I called again. I was told my account was closed as it had been such a long period of time. They could not pay me what was in my account, so whatever money owed to me was taken by them. I did have very small items in my account that lingered and I asked them to just please donate it. I am left with nothing from the very nice items I trusted this business to consign. read more
