My experience here has never been that great, but my last visit may be my final one…read more I arrived five minutes early for my 10:00 a.m. appointment and was not allowed inside until the doors unlocked exactly at 10:00. While five minutes may not seem like much, it feels much longer standing outside in mid-February in Wisconsin, especially when you are nine months pregnant with a large elderly dog who struggles to get in and out of the car. The veterinarian himself is kind and respectful. I choose not to elect every vaccine that is recommended, and he does not pressure me, which I appreciate. However, during my first few visits after moving here, the environment felt sales-driven and somewhat judgmental. Over time that has improved. I will also give credit to their technicians who very much love animals. There is also significant paperwork required prior to visits, including liability waivers and consent forms allowing conversations to be recorded and transcribed into notes. While I understand policies exist for a reason, the overall experience feels very corporate rather than personal. This makes me believe they have a higher office they answer to in regard to liability paperwork and sale quotas. I have lived in multiple places over the last eight years and have used several veterinary offices. In my opinion, their pricing is on the higher end compared to other clinics I've used, and there often seems to be a push toward additional services or treatments that don't always feel necessary.

They didn't listen to what I needed for my dog and had me pay an extra 220 dollar. Will never be going back here. Doing anything they can to keep the money they stole.

This clinic is a rip off. Had my elderly dog in for exam in July and got treated for ear infection…read moreand then discussed librela shot for arthritis. Not only did I pay 300 + without the shot but if I did they wanted 25.00 for the tech to administer it. My old vet doesn't charge that so I went back there. The vet was very condescending when I said she had cataracts. She said no those are blah, blah blah...whatever her eyesight is worse! I also got rimadyl and she automatically lowered the dose due to her weight change and told me she was concerned for liver issues. I'm sorry she is 13 1/2 I'm more concerned for her pain. Plus they ask you if they can AI record the exam which I refused but both the vet and her tech had their laptops open...! Now I called thinking a vaccine appointment would be convenient but now I needed to schedule a wellness exam? I asked what was I there for in July and the clerk said end of life issue? She later apologized said it was an issue exam not wellness but still insisted I would need to schedule a wellness exam. I just decide to drive her back to my old vet and not get ripped off anymore! I've had many dogs in my life live to old age but never a vet clinic like this...never again! It's all about$$$$

The care and compassion I have been shown for each and every one of these events, had never been shown to me or my family at any other vet I had been to previously. HCVC is very caring, yet no nonsense. They will not sugar coat anything, but they will say what they need to with respect and empathy. If you feel you don't connect with a particular vet, you can request to see a different one at your next visit. Regardless, you can tell that everyone here loves animals, and that this isn't "just a job". Prices are right in line with other places, and when you are given a quote, they will always go high to give you a chance to prepare for a "just in case" scenario. I was recently quoted about $1100 for a feline dental with 2 extractions, but it ended up being less than half that because extractions weren't needed. I received after care instructions at pick up, and got a call the next day to check in and see how my cat was doing. Overall, I have had consistently great service and care, and plan on bringing my furry family here for many more years. 2/2025

Our experience and treatment by Pet Partners was so bad that I will never go to another one.
