We've been with SmartVet for a while, but they recently redesigned their website and had a personal…read morephone number unaffiliated with the practice set up to text for appointments. I inadvertently sent our personal information to a very frustrated stranger who said they'd received at least 8 other messages containing personal information from other patients. On top of this, they're now requiring a deposit for Saturday appointments because they've had a few no-shows. Cool story, but how about you punish the offenders with a no-show charge, not the loyal customers who have never missed any appointments and have likely paid thousands of dollars for your services over the years. The practice manager Liz messaged me apologizing for the website issue, but then doubled down on the deposit requirement by telling me that she knows "change is hard." That level of arrogance and condescension is sadly becoming business as usual these days. We're not inclined to entertain that level of foolishness. While we've never had any medical complaints, these administrators seem to only speak one language. Money. Plenty of other local vets happy to have our business.
