The very best experience I've ever had selling gold and silver items. The location is safe and…read moreconvenient and I know I am being dealt with honestly without question. At one point I was in the store almost weekly as I began to clean out the estate of a family friend and we found more items to be looked at. Once when I returned to the store, Bill had put aside $100 that he said he owed me because, upon a second testing of some rings, he realized that they were 14K gold and not 10K. I don't expect that I would get that level of honesty anywhere else. Bill and Kim were both excellent and professional to deal with and very nice people, to boot. I would recommend going to Xtra Cash N Gold without hesitation!

The clasp was different and I did not know how to lock it after dropping the pearls off my neck a couple of times I thought I would take the pearls into a shop and have the clasp changed, So I brought it to Rainbow Jewelers. I wanted to shop local, I did not realize I would be robbed. I showed the pearls to Richard and as he examined them he delightedly said, "These are very old pearls." I told him my problem with the clasp and he said I wanted them restrung, and I said no, they were fine the way they were and I told him several times "I did not want them restrung." When I went back the same clasp was on the pearls and he had restrung them and about ten of the pearls were missing. I mentioned this when I picked it up and the restringing job that I did not want was poorly done as one side of the string had a new kink in it. I was so very upset, I left very angry trying to figure out how I could get my pearls back, I do not recommend this store to anyone. My directions were not adhered to and I paid him 120$ for poorly done work and missing pearls the necklace is now to short for me to wear comfortably. . I also had ordered a pair of earrings converted from French to posts. I do not care that the work was ugly but just want my pearls back ,,alll of them. regards Barbara Guillette Ipswich, Ma. I shall notify the BBB and others, soon, about this offense if this issue is not made right.

The rest of the store had amazing stock - he showed me a 1923 Monroe Doctrine Centennial commemorative half-dollar coin, with two faces on the front (I'd never seen that) and on the back, North & South America drawn in art-deco fashion as two people - fascinating! I plan to go back soon, with my coin-collecting husband.

I recently called this dealer and asked if he would consider doing that. The employee who answered the telephone told me to come to the store to discuss this offer. When I arrived the store was empty except for the owner and another employee. After I explained my offer, the dealer brusquely responded "Not worth my time!" Thinking that he might have mistaken that I was referring to the valuable coins in the display case, I clarified that I only wanted him to consider trading any silver coins that did not have numismatic value (sometimes called "junk silver"). He repeated "Not worth my time!". I pointed to his employee and asked if that fellow could help me. The owner brusquely replied "He works for me. No!" Finally, I asked if he buys Kennedy half dollars that contain 40% silver. The owner said that he did -- but he would not tell me how much he pays because "the spot price of silver varies each day." (In fact, it generally varies by only 1-2%.) Of course this coin dealer has the right to decide how to conduct his business. But he was so unpleasant that I won't return there to buy or sell coins. I previously have told local bank tellers that if they encounter a customer cashing in a coin collection that they inherited, they should advise that person to go to the coin dealer in Stoneham and learn the value of that collection. I will change which dealer I tell bank tellers to use.

The owners take safety seriously, customers are buzzed into the store so you don't have people walking in and out unannounced and it gives you a feeling of security.
