I grew up with Giralomo's, but left Nashville to go to college in Chicago when I was 17. After…read morecollege, I moved to San Francisco and became a big time foodie. My appreciation for Giralomo's pizza grew and grew over the years as I was exposed to different types of cuisine. Frank's pizza is the absolute best I have ever found in all of my travels. It is totally unique, made with quality ingredients and the crust is unmatched anywhere. I have no idea how he makes tha crust so beautifully crackery and crisp, and the sauce has a zingy savory sweetness that is unmatched. The restaurant has gone through some major changes in the last couple of years, mainly with the decor, which is all hand painted and decorated to give a much nicer ambiance. They also now sell beer and wine, which is a great addition to their menu. It isn't all about the pizza, as there is a full menu of standard Italian fare, as well as some fish and steaks to appeal to the midwestern taste. I can't say enough about this place, and every time I come to visit my parents in this sweet little town, I have to eat there at least twice, if not more, during my usual week long visit. Don't deny yourself a culinary treat, and try this place out. It is worth the trip to Nashville if you are coming from out of town. No matter what else you want to order, you must try the pizza, and the toasted ravioli is another standard on my list. My husband, who grew up in the San Jose, California, a place where he could eat any kind of food from any place in the world agrees that this is the most unique and tasty treat, and compares to the pizza that he has had in Italy. If I were on death row, and could request anything in the world for my last meal, it would be pizza from Girolamo's Pizza in Nashville Illinois!

I chose cannelloni. They were tender and the meat was perfect. I ordered it with the bolognese sauce and Alfredo. So yummy together. A perfect pink sauce. The best part is it was a Ben better today leftover for lunch!

First time here today and I'm sorry we didn't try it sooner. It's a counter service restaurant…read morewhere you order at the counter and get your own drink and they bring the food to your table. The speed of service was noticeable. We ordered lunch specials with a small salad and individual pizza each. They were bringing the salad out before we even got to the table and they brought out the pizzas before we finished the salad. I saw it was the same speed for other diners. Not sure what happens if you get large pizzas to share. The salad was small but had lots of cheese and tomato. They give you a squeeze bottle if dressing, so you always get the amount to want. Pizza crust is very thin and crispy - very cracker like. I guess that's how they cook so quick. I had bbq chicken and wife had pepperoni. Mine had lots of bbq sauce , chicken and cheese. It was very good. The pepperoni had less sauce, I think, but it looked like the right amount and also right amount of topping. Both were sprinkled liberally with what I think was an Italian seasoning. We would definitely eat here again. The sandwich looked good and I'd like to try one, but will probably stick with the bbq pizza.

Pan pizza is similar to what you'd get at Pizza Hut. Not bad. Kind of oily dough…read more Interestingly the 8" pan pizza is $8, but the 10" pan pizza is $16 Bread sticks are soft. Step up from grocery store bread sticks
