We paid a visit to the West shore market this morning and our tummies were just a little on the hungry side so we decided to grab a couple slices here. Yes, they do have a long line generally so get in line. It moves fairly quickly and you get to see all the different selections. They have to offer as you pass by to the cashier to place your order. The pizza was good. They were nice size slices price right we opted for three with the pepperoni that just came out of the oven. One thing that I noticed was the pizza is a little bit flimsy and at the beginning when you start eating it but if you fold it up, it holds together very well and it does have a nice crunchy crust on it . The pizza was very flavorful have to give them a lot of props for that and the pepperoni was really nice . They have two tables outside. We got lucky and were able to sit down and enjoy our slices and the ambience since it is not a restaurant is a casual laid-back open market with 1 million people. Indeed, we do highly recommend this little pizza shop inside of the market . read more

Located in our local Farmers Market we've been thinking of trying Casero's Pizza for awhile but it's one of those hit it on the day where the Market is open & meets our time schedules. It seems they do a great pick up business and I decided to order an un-baked pepperoni to make later! I ordered the large pepperoni unbaked! Now the critique! Overall the pizza is comparable with others in the area their crust is really thin which makes for a crispier crust! The sauce has a sweeter taste than some others in the area so depending on your taste you either love it or don't! I also prefer smaller pepperoni so as not to limit getting pepperoni with every bite! Personally I wouldn't rush out of my way to get a pie here but if I was at the market a slice or two would be on the menu. I also would recommend getting it baked for the simple fact it does take a little to a lot of coordination to manipulate getting it in and out of the oven! You can reheat it easier later! Like I said not a bad pizza but not my fav. Will probably try some of their specialty pizzas they look interesting enough to give Casero's a few more try's! read more

These guys are awesome. I been having a serious craving for stromboli. This stromboli was delicious. Driving home you could smell the buttery garlic smell, when you open the box there is a beautiful culinary masterpiece, but the taste is outstanding. So, so good. Casero's quickly because our favorite pizza in the Harrisburg area! It's so tasty and baked perfectly. The pizza is consistently good and you can always expect it to taste the same, delicious. We love to choose our own slices but sometimes call ahead and preorder a pie. I recently tried their pepperoni role and that was a great treat as well. We have not yet tried the take and bake option. We always know we're going to want to dig right in, so baked is most convenient for us but it is nice that they offer that as an option! Just really great pizza! read more

Location is inside a market, bottom level, near the seafood kiosk. Market was busy, very warm in some areas, and loud. Staff was incredible rude and seemed to be over it by 1:30 pm on a Saturday, especially the staff member with the piercings on her face. Whatever was left is what was available, or so we thought. My family member and I ordered 3 slices of pizza, 2 pepperoni and mushroom, and 1 Hawaiian. Now, don't get me wrong, the pizza was delicious, the crust had a good snap and held the pizza well. A little greasy, but it's pizza... we sat near the kiosk and watched and overheard the staff turn people away as they had limited options and were no longer making pizza or taking orders. That's until a pushy woman came along and asserted they make a pizza for her and put whatever toppings they had left. The staff explained the pizza would take 15 minutes to bake and they were shutting down at 2 pm. Actually the whole place shuts down at 2 pm. The customer asked for "just basil, just tomato, just cheese, anything". The staff member finally gave in and pulled out a premade pepperoni pizza, took all the pepperoni off and proceeded to head towards the over with it. My family and I were told they weren't making anymore pizza, and so we're many others, so I was a bit irritated when they gave in and made this woman her own with less time available before closing time. They had plenty of opportunities to make others a pizza but turned customers away. Now, I'm not going to throw the race card in there, but baby... it did not sit well that this woman was catered to. I wanted to tell the individual who appeared to be the owner or manager how that was unacceptable, but I wasn't going to entertain it. Pizza is good yes, but service and professionalism is lacking. Your call. 3 stars because pizza was good, but dinged points because of the staffs attitude and what occurred. read more

Delicious pizza here in the West Shore Farmers' Market! They have thin and Sicilian and both are outstanding. The cheese/sauce/crust balance is always spot on and they are fast and friendly when serving the hundreds of hungry pizza eaters they do. Their pepperoni rolls are so yummy too! Their prices are right too! Its amazing to get an affordable lunch and have it be SO delicious too. I need to see if their baked goods "store" is still there, Batch? An uncommon perk is they also sell 'take and bake' pizzas that are great for a quick dinner. We live nearby, so we like to grab slices unheated and warm 'em up later. Fantastic pizza. It's easy to get a few slices and heat them up at home. Good sauce. Thin, yet holds its shape for a fold over bite. Great toppings. Sicilian is awesome. Best pizza in the area. Their pizza has a thin crust that is crispy and delicious unlike many of the area's too many pizza places with thicker often underdone crusts. The crust, sauce, cheese, topping is perfect. During the more busy there is usually a long line, that moves quickly, which is a testament on the quality of the product. They do have a thicker Sicilian style square pizza, tomato pie, and pepperoni rolls but I have never had them so I cannot attest to their quality or taste. The pizza is perfect for me so I stick to that. The only downside is that they are only open on Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday when the Lemoyne Farmers market is open. read more

This here is some great pizza!!!!! First off customer service is always on point. I believe its a family run business but everyone working the counter smiles and thanks you for your purchase. They are easy to talk to and you can just tell they love what they do. They are working hard cranking out pies and slices all day long with smiles on their faces. The pizza..ohmygerd its really good!!!! I always get the little italy pizza because its just so darn good I can't bring myself to try anything else. The crust is thin with a bit of a crisp to it, toppings are fresh, pizza comes out hot. I usually get my pies to go and its takes a lot of willpower to not reach in the box and grab a slice on the way home! You can purchase pies to bake at home but why do that?? Their pizza oven is amazing and im pretty sure my electric stove at home wont produce the same results. Unfortunately Ive moved to the other side of the river but I will be making trips in the future to get some more of this pizza in my hands! They also have started selling baked goods at an adjoining stand and while I haven't tried any of those goodies yet I can imagine they are delicious too if they are anything like the pizza! read more

This makes me sad to write this. I have been an advocate and secret marketing agent for Casero's for at least the last 10 years. Best pizza in a 60 mile radius. Was. Something has happen to their dough in the last few months. It's like it's overproofed--dead and flavorless. No longer has that nice puffy edge around the perimeter. It's flat and sometimes cracked. And they stopped 1/2 baking pies at customer's requests. This really stinks. So if you get a raw pie late morning for Friday evening, the sauce sits on the raw dough all day. (I bake mine in a 500 degree oven on a pizza stone that's been heated for 45 minutes. We're talking hot.) The pizza NEVER gets a crispy crust because the dough is saturated with sauce. The pizza this past weekend was a crappy, soggy mess. I wish they would give customers what they ask for. And, go back to the old dough recipe. I just won't be going back for a while. Unless a grotto's pizza ever comes around the area, this is the best pizza around. The crust is light and tasty, the sauce is always fresh and has just the right mix of spices. The cheese is always applied generously, and the toppings are always good as well. When you bring all these quality ingredients together it gives you a perfect pizza. The only downside is the limited hours, but nobody's perfect. Despite the limited hours I will go out of my way to enjoy this pizza whenever I can. read more

NOTE - I reviewed this place yesterday and since it was fresh in my mind, decided I would stop by today and grab a few slices. This location is closed :( so now you'll have to go to the West Shore Farmers Marker to try their food. It's awesome to see a place finally succeed in this spot! All others before have failed, but I don't see that in the cards for Casero's. My first order here from here was an 18" Mediterranean take and bake (T&B). I wanted the 20" but they don't offer that size in T&B. I did call my order in a few hours ahead of when I wanted to pick it up. I'm sure you could walk in and order, but an 18" monster would probably take half an hour to assemble. At the almost agreed upon time, I arrived (actually I was late and wanted to make sure it would be ok) and my pizza was ready to go. Very accommodating staff! We struggled to find something to bake it on at home and wound up taking 2 same length cookies sheets and put them side by side. A bit of a PITA to manage, but between three of us, we got 'er done. Put the cooked pizza back in the 18" box to slice after baking and that was the ticket! Oh BTW, our T&B Mediterranean was excellent - the crust baked to perfection (be sure to cook it for the total recommended time), plenty of feta, artichokes and basil, and though not listed on the menu, what I'm pretty sure was mozzarella. Since then, I've ordered the same pizza again, and it was consistently delicious. Maybe someday I'll try another selection... read more

It's difficult to find outstanding Pizza in this area. Even more difficult to find something that can stand up to real New York Style pie. Have been craving an outstanding NY style slice for quite awhile. Did some research online and found Casero's in Lemoyne PA to have high marks. Located in the West Shore Farmer's Market, they sadly are only open on market days, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. Probably a good thing for my wallet and waistline, otherwise, I would be going back often. Anyway, stopped by late this morning. Service was super friendly and fast. The pies were gorgeous, all freshly baked and proudly on display. I ordered a slice of pepperoni and one with mushrooms. OUTSTANDING! The crust tastes incredible, is thin and folds nicely. Excellent sauce, top quality cheese and toppings. This is truly the best pizza in this area at this time. And, they are correct, they have indeed created their own unique style of pizza. Been in biz since 2006, so should have discovered them for myself years ago. I can easily catch up on lost time. Treating myself and some buddies to a pie this weekend. Best pizza in the Harrisburg area, hands down. Every other pizzeria in the area, from Harrisburg to Hershey to Camp Hill, serves a variation on the same American-style pie. Which is fine, but to my taste that style of crust is too gummy and under-flavored, and toppings just make those pies heavy and wet. Cesaro's is a different breed altogether. From the first bite you hear a satisfying crackle as the crust shatters, but it is not completely a cracker-style crust, there is still a nice chew to it. Much thinner than the standard pizzeria-style crusts, it holds up to whatever toppings you choose because the pizzaiola understands that less is more: you really *taste* the toppings when they're not ladled on thick and heavy. The true test of a great pie is how the plain cheese tastes. Cesaro's is perfection, a true balance of flavor and texture, and you can eat a slice and not feel weighted down. I recently had 2 slices of pepperoni (2" wide, paper thin) with sausage and red onion. It's difficult to describe just how well the onion and pepperoni flavor meld, but it was one of the best bites ever. If commercials that show you "pizza" with cheese baked into the crust and toppings piled up to your eyeballs appeal to you, this might not be your place to go. If you want something that is light and satisfying and with all the flavors of cheese and sauce and crust and toppings in harmony, go to Cesaro's! read more

I was born and raised in Brooklyn and lived in NYC all my life until I moved to Central Pennsylvania a few moths ago. My past experience with pizza shops here have been less than stellar compared to all the pizza I've had in my life living in New York. I'm not saying it was all bad but just not the same. I found Casero's by accident on a visit to the West Shore Farmers Market and the pizza behind the glass just had that New York style look so I had to try. I've been back almost weekly since. The plain cheese, the Roma , it's all awesome, thin but not too thin, crisp, the perfect cheese to sauce ratio. I've been to pizza shops all over NYC and Casero's can run neck and neck with the best of them. The only downside is that they're only open Tuesday, Friday and Saturday!!!!!! Go now!!!!! Best thin crust pizza in the area! I really wish they were open more often! The staff is pleasant even though there is almost always a line - at least when I visit! Take and bake, where they prepare the pizza for you so that you can take it home and eat it at a later time, is a great idea, but I've never been able to replicate the deliciously gooey taste of a hot slice eaten at the counter. For dessert, I highly recommend a brownie from Batch, which is the cookie stand on the backside of Casero's. read more

In my opinion this is some of the best pizza in the area. Some or our favorite options are the pepperoni and the white pizza. I also suggest the pepperoni roll if you want to change it up. Although there may be a line its never a long wait. The take and bake pizzas are a great since the hours for the farmers market are limited. I read about this new pizza joint in Pennlive. They apparently opened their doors just three days before Tropical Storm Lee hit flooding the place. My heart went out to them, so we wanted to give them some business...always ready to support local restaurants! I know they have a location in the West Shore Farmer's Market in Lemoyne, but I had never tried it. They took over the building that last housed a not-so-good pizza place, but do not associate the two...Casero Pizza is WAY BETTER!! They have their own parking lot, so no parallel parking. The place is modernly decorated, very fresh and clean! The kitchen is open, but the restaurant is kept at a comfortable temperature. We were quickly sat, and enjoyed the contemporary take on the menu. They offer a crostini bar, with all kinds of mediterranean toppings. (Yes, a pizza place that offers different toppings without charging extra per "level" of topping.) We ended up ordering a large spicy pepperoni pizza. The pizza came out surprisingly fast, and with a thin crispy crust. Man, finally, a GOOD pizza place!! Everything is homemade, including the sauce and crust. We devoured the pizza, entranced by the tangy and sweet sauce. There was a perfect amount of sauce, they definitely weren't holding out! Even my three year old gobbled up the crust. The owner came by and checked on all the tables, making sure everyone was happy. He even brought over a "top-your-pizza-slice" sticker to occupy my daughter while we finished eating. The prices are extremely reasonable, especially for quality pizza. I think it was $13 for a large pepperoni pizza? We paid at the front, and watched the owner meeting all the orders in the kitchen. He kept his eye on each customer in, the kitchen, all the orders, and the patrons eating in the dining area. He definitely can manage a kitchen. We witnessed him placing two milkshakes on the counter, and asserted for a server to take them immediately. No waiting around for food and drinks at this place. Completely refreshing to finally have a yummy pizza place around this area...and the confidence that it will stay after witnessing the management of the owner! Go check them out!!!!
