My husband and I had planned most of the wedding and we were looking for someone that could help us in the week leading up to the wedding and on the day of. I found Kelly through Craigslist and her price was really affordable. Given that we had a large wedding, Kelly also brought on two wedding assistants to help with the multiple events on the wedding day. From the moment I spoke with Kelly on the phone, I really appreciated her professionalism, attention to detail and her down to earth personality. After explaining the details our wedding, I was pretty confident she could do the job. Leading up to the wedding we met and finalized the details with her. She coordinated our wedding rehearsal and we gave her all the DIY decor, candy and other supplies for her to set up the day of the wedding. It was nice to know I didn't have to worry about decorating and little details like that the day of the wedding! On the day of the wedding, Kelly took the lead to setting up the venue and one of her assistants helped us with the setup and breakdown of our Chinese tea ceremony. The wedding venue and the decor at the reception looked beautiful when I saw it. Kelly did an amazing job of setting up. For the ceremony and the reception, I was confident that things were being taken care of. Kelly would come by and offer us anything that we needed and I appreciated how she helped packed everything up after the wedding was over so it was easy to take home. It was all very seamless. Looking back, if I had to comment on areas of improvement, I would say I wish Kelly had reminded me of things I probably forgotten to think about. For example, we had forgotten to give her our gift card and envelope box for the registration table (my parents had it in the back of their car) and guests were confused about where to leave the cards. I didn't realize it was missing till after the wedding and I thought that would be one forgotten detail that would have been pretty noticeable. Also during the reception, when some issues did occur, there were times where we couldn't find the wedding assistants or Kelly. Given that it was a big wedding, I understand they could have been monitoring everything behind the scenes, but we hoped that we could have had more access to them. Even with these minor issues, all in all the event ran successfully! Our wedding day was perfect enough for us. We called Lauren ten minutes after stumbling on Laurel & Fey's Yelp page, and Lauren answered on the first ring, despite being in the middle of watching her two kids. That's the kind of communication we had with her in the 8 or so months we spent planning the wedding together. Lauren was such a grounding, calming force, and her incredible eye for design really paid off. It should be noted that this was not an easy wedding to plan: - My husband and I are both Jewish and halfway into planning this wedding, we realized we'd need to pivot and go with a kosher caterer, seeing as a number of our guests were religious. That meant that the design Lauren had created had to be thrown out because we couldn't use rented plates. Lauren came up with a new, beautiful design incorporating the caterer's plates and silverware. - We had a large guest count (ended up being 260 but it could have been 360). - My husband's family is from Azerbaijan, so on top of the kosher element, we needed the food to be served in a certain way (essentially every thirty minutes, family style, and tons of it). - Our ceremony was really nontraditional and incorporated a lot of theatrics (fun, but a challenge to get right, timing-wise). - We had long hours (5pm-2am). I'm probably forgetting a ton, but needless to say, Lauren took everything we threw at her in stride. We didn't do things the traditional way and she just got on board. She also navigated our more challenging vendors with grace and grit. It helped immensely. Also (keep needing to add things) she talked me off a ledge the week before the wedding when I was stressing out about the heat, and offered tons of solutions. We had an incredible wedding that miraculously pleased everyone, most notably us, and we're so grateful to Laurel & Fey!

We had 7 groomsmen, 7 bridesmaids, a 17 month old ring bearer, and our parents so she managed that handful very well! On the day of the wedding, Kristen personally stopped by our hotel and picked up our details and decor since our venue didn't allow us to store things overnight. The ceremony and reception decor were set up beautifully and just as we talked about. She checked in on us throughout the night and her team helped tear down the decor at the end of the evening.
