I have experienced very similar results as Mike A. recently. I too have known Jen and Lyon for some…read moretime, had more than one vehicle worked on by them, and am perplexed by the change in the way they are doing business. You can't get any kind of estimate, because then the "office manager" couldn't sodomize your wallet relentlessly! I too have had billings reviewed by other professionals in the trade and the consensus is "got some good work done there, but paid way too much for it!" Labor rates have changed, parts & suppliers are more expensive now, and there will always be "cheap-assed" customers. There is also inflated billing, padded expenses, overcharging, and gouging the customer!

First let's look at what their advertising says…read more We work with any budget - but won't stay on or even consult you when it's getting close to the agreed upon amount and will charge over double the guesstimate We make your dreams come true- my dream was not getting taken advantage of We will pick up and deliver - while this is true...if you stop spending money with them they will want an outrageous fee. I sought out this company due to their ad claims. I began emailing them telling them exactly what I wanted. The owner came out and looked at my vehicle to give me a "guesstimate" of what it would cost. His guesstimate was 26,400 for parts/labor. We asked what the average cost. He said they bill every 2 weeks & he never bills for a full 80 hours and the average payment would be 2-3k. Now I know that a guesstimate is a ballpark , and I knew it was probably going to be more than the guess but having over 30 years in the business, he's not good at guessing. The total I paid them was 10k over budget and only did maybe 1/3 of the agreed work. My parts were paid for upfront and per the emails with the owner, it was supposed to be a 383 with a carb (I have an email from them saying 383 WITH carb). I was then later charged &500 for a carb. when I asked about the email that said it was included I was told his email was not true. Next, a Weiand 142 blower. My invoice has a Weiand number, but what I got was an Edelbrock 122. This may be what they like to use, but it was not for them to decide. I should have gotten what I wanted and paid for not what they wanted. Even if the 142 was on back order they had over 6 months to get it. They were supposed to pick my vehicle up Nov 22, and when that time came and we didn't hear anything we inquired. They told that they had to push things out because of an issue with their new paint booth. Once again they didn't communicate with us that this was happening until we inquired. I am think how does that affect me since nothing we agreed on included any sort of painting. My vehicle was finally picked up in March of 2023 and was told once they get it on a lift they would let us know if they needed anything else. We did not hear anything for 5 weeks when we inquired. We then got an update that they did some work which included painting some items. Painting was not part of what we wanted and agreed upon, it was just done and we got billed for it after the fact zero communication. The only time I was asked about paint was the inner fenders which I declined. One of my parts boxes has what looks to be spray paint on it. We then got our first bill for 2 weeks of work, It was nearly 8,500 which was more than the original guesstimate for everything labor wise that was supposed to be done. I inquired about how the price for this one thing was more than the total and didn't get a good answer. They had to massage the firewall and headers. The header spot looks like they just beat the hell out of it with a hammer and called it good. Communication was always after the fact. Since they were already heading towards our budget and since the engine was pretty much installed we thought they only needed to hook up some plumbing and a few other things the rest of the install wouldn't be that much. So they proceeded to finish the install and I was going to not go forward with the rest of the build. We then got an email saying that since my transmission was leaking they took it upon themselves to pull the pan, and all the sudden I needed a rebuild or new trans. This was 100% not authorized. They did not tell me until after and then charged me for it. Had they called and asked sure, but they didn't. They finished of course my bill was yet another almost 8,500. Again we inquired why and was told the price of parts. I don't see how this was as all parts were paid 6-7 months prior to labor. They said since I stopped progress they didn't do safety checks and I still need to have someone go over it. I was literally told to make sure everything is tight. I then asked about drop off, but since we were no longer paying they wanted $1,300 I picked up my vehicle and what I thought was all the parts. 5 were missing they said they would look. A month later they said they needed to check their offsite storage. Almost a month later they had my parts. I go pick up and notice the owner is ripping shipping labels. I looked up the tracking and see that this shipped to them Aug 29 23 and arrived Aug 31 23 not when I paid for them a year prior. There was another part missing, which took another month for a refund. I had a shop look at my invoice and said they were clearly soaking hours taking advantage. I am worried they may have done something to my engine that is going to damage it. I will say if you do decide to use them communicate 100% by email so that there is proof when you get screwed over or taken advantage of. As a disabled veteran one of my core values is integrity, and this place has none.

The whole team was super communicative and accommodating, which made the process so much less stressful for me. They also handled all of my insurance details, which was so helpful and I appreciated so much! As a 23-year-old non-car related things girl, my dad usually handles all of my car stuff and I just moved here so I was a little scared going into it but I never felt tricked or taken advantage of at all like some shops do. They were so honest and helpful the whole time. Vinny did my estimate at the beginning and explained the breakdown so I actually understood what was being done and the costs. They followed through on everything they said and my car was even finished over a week earlier than the original pickup date. They also coordinated with the outside shops on the other things my car needed done with the wheel and clear bra and handled all of that for me which made it way easier on me. They also have a super easy after hours pick-up process and I was able to pick up anytime! I had such a great experience and will definitely be back if I ever need anything again.
