A must-stop to try the famous Riesling Gelato…read more So the top summary heading says it all - my girlfriend and I were walking around the charming town of Bacharach when we spied "Riesling Gelato" hanging in the window. We immediately stopped what we were doing and ventured inside. The inside is quaint and continues that Bacharach feel of a mom-and-pop shop. We were served immediately and got to taste the Riesling...oh my it tasted just like the wine. For those that have never tried, Riesling is typically a sweeter white wine, and it blends perfectly as a frozen treat. Also, what are you doing in Germany's wine country and you don't know what Riesling is!? And yes, this place comes Rick Steves recommended.
