Having lived and studied in Spain, I endorse this place…read more
I've eaten here twice and can vouch for the:
-Spanish tortilla (usually complementary as an amuse bouche)
-Blood sausage empanadas (delicious)
-Croquetas (pretty authentic)
-Shrimp with rice (very good and garlicy)
-Chorizo with lentils (almost a soup, but very hearty)
-Jamon serrando with manchego cheese (which you can't mess up, unless you shave the jamon too thick)
I wish, as a Spanish restaurant, they would serve paella, but it's hard to find even it in most parts of Spain if you're not on the coast. So if it can't be fresh in landlocked Mexico City, I'd rather not have it at all.
The complementary bread is nice and soft.
The service is on the money.
The wine list is rather and expansive and very affordable.
The owner is usually here and will stop by your table to check-in. Nice touch.
I'm also a huge fan of the open air seating. Not outdoors, but indoors with the windows wide open. The bathroom sinks are also pretty unique. Check them out, even if you don't have to use them.
