You step through a "window" door to get in off the street and then through an iron gate to go up the grand marble staircase on the side of an inner courtyard. In the middle of the hall upstairs there is double wooden door with an old fashioned key into an apartment with a very large (by EU standards) living room with a couch, desk and large easy chair - no TV. Through that room you enter the kitchen/dining room with the standard galley kitchen, table for 4, small wall TV, a large cabinet and bench and then into the long and narrow full bath with bidet and shower (no tub.) At the end there is the bedroom with TV and DVD player, large wooden closet, dresser and 2 easy chairs. The furnishings are almost all baroque style and in decent shape. The ceilings are arched with 12 to 15 foot peaks in the center of each room. Best of all are the sliding full screens on the large doors leading to the small balconies off each room. No place has ever had screens like these before!
The unit is extremely well stocked and great attention has been given to details. Kitchen equipment, napkins, paper towels, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, tableware, glassware and breakfast items (coffee, tea, yogurt, juice, fruit, cereal, milk, butter, bread, jams, Nutella...) Bathroom has bar soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash, hair dryer etc.
The living room has a manual with all the needed rental lodging information, appliance manuals, dinner and sightseeing recommendations, where to park etc. Pretty much everything you could need.
Wi-Fi works well with a very safe password.
We are here three nights and we wish it was longer!
