Overall a good place to visit in Tulsa if they have some music or events happening, but if not then I wouldn't recommend paying $15 entry for just one room of artifacts. There's an outdoor concert series they have with shows happening 3 days a week. A lot of programming that's under their Institute that you can enroll in.

I had complete control over what I wanted to do with the space & having that type of free range helps a ton as me being an artist. I held a photography exhibit on 5/5/23 with the attractions of (up & coming) East Side Eats (local chefs who served their food previously with The Studio as well). Their menu: Veggie Steamed Gyoza (Dumplings) + Mole Dumplings * Chicken Tinga Kimchi Toastada * Cantarito * Agua Fresca de Jamaica. I tried my best to get everything from the menu, they sold out too quick!! Friday night was fun. The following day, I held an Artist Talk that included Pade Tea Mimosas (local) & Local P, which is a networking event for local producers to showcase their beats. Again, had complete control on what + how I wanted to event to be & I had just as much fun. All before this took place, The Studio has held numerous events, whether it's poetry, markets for people to be vendors, live music, etc. They do a good job at including local as much as possible. This was a ton of fun!…read more I have to admit, when you get there, you will wonder what you are getting yourself into. It's a very creepy place on the outside. Once you get in you will find a nice young man who will get you signed in and explain how to throw and axe. He was super nice and showed us all the different variations. I hit first try! Missed about five times after but eventually got the basic hang of it. I still didn't stick them every time but man I want to go buy a stupid axe now! Hah It's a great time and I can almost bet you will tire out before the one hour session is over. I imagine I'll be sore! But give this place a try and learn something new!

Pulling into the alley you find a fenced in parking lot with a large sign reading Angry Axe Throwing. Walking inside there is ample room and roughly eight throwing lanes. Cost to throw is $20/hr per person which I found pretty reasonable. The axe-pert that checked us in also sharpened our axes before showing us to a lane. We had the place pretty much to ourselves on a Tuesday evening around 5-6pm. I went here with a colleague who had never thrown axes before and she had a great time. I also learned some fun axe throwing games. Pro-tip: Angry Axe is BYOB if you want to bring a brew or two.
