Even more so when serving Italian wines. This is not "regional" Italian cooking, this is "Italian" cooking as seen internationally (maybe more specifically as we know it in the South of France). Good restaurants usually have a fairly small number of choices, and indeed there are really only two options for lunch: cannelloni or lasagna. Both are made fresh and served with a lettuce and pine nuts salad. The cafe gourmand is a great way to test the various desserts of the house. In keeping with the "international Italian" theme it is of course tiramisu but there is also a delicious cannoli (hazelnut or cappuccino) and an amaretti to go with the coffee which as expected was almost half crema (and for once, good espresso is something hard to find in France). The prices have gotten a bit higher since the last menu photo on another review site, but remain on par with the other lunch options in the city. Naturally, the service by the owner Angelo is simply excellent and makes you very happy to have chosen to eat there. We had a pleasant, relaxed outdoors lunch and can recommend the place for something different.

Lovely staff, great location, mediocre food…read more I had a large salad and a no cheese (vegan) pizza. Salad was fine. Large enough to share. Mixed greens, tomato, eggplant, onion, sun dried tomato. Pizza was a bit of a disappointment. Sauce was ok, but the crust was not completely done. Big no-no. Had it been completely cooked, I'd be going with 4 out of 5 stars. I'm also not a fan of putting whole olives with seeds on a pizza, but that seems to be the trend here. I should note that pretty much everybody around me was eating pizza and quite a few are locals. They seemed to be happy with theirs.... For me, if I had stopped at the salad, this place would've been a 4 out of 5, but you're probably not going there just for a salad. I ended up with the pizza (second in two days) as their pasta are all egg noodles (thanks for telling me!) Really, the best thing about this place is it's open after pretty much everything else closes!
