We reserved a table knowing tht it gets busy. After a wait our order was taken ad our wine brought. Then we waited and we waited. We know that service can e intermittent but after 45 mins and no sign of anything hot (our bread was only brought after 1/2 an hour) we called over the wait staff who seemed to be trying their bst to ignore us. We were thn told that they'd actually forgotten our order entirely and we would have to wait another 1/2 an hour. There was no reason givenand all we were offered was coffee (we'd finished the wine). Coffee comes after a meal usually so we declined the ridiculous offer. The meal eventually arrived and my hsband's fish wasn't cooked and was cold. We were now very angry to say the least especially as the staff didn't seem to care. We did the only thing left to us: we very pubically walked out refusing to pay for anything which basically amounted to a bottle of wine but no food except for bread. We will never return as much due to the service as anything else.

The owners Antonio and Manuel are outstanding hosts, always interacting with customers in a warm way and guiding them to make the right food and drink choices. At every course and wine he took the time to talk to us and explain what we were having and some background information. We started off with bread, oil and tapenade of chickpeas and paprika. First course was an octopus terrine with some coquilles and shrimp, which was very good. For main course I had neck of lamb and my wife had the liver. The liver was fantastic. Very tender and succulent. The lamb was great too. The desserts were disappointing. My sweet rice was nice but not special and my wife's chocolate mousse and cake were too bitter for her taste. The wines were very good. I had a vino verde and a red douro. With dessert I had a very nice muscatel, not too sweet. I would give it 4 1/2 stars.
