Can't say anything bad about this place. Fish and chips were absolutely delicious! Best I've had on my trip so far. Service was fast and friendly, even when we got passed off to another waitress. Atmosphere was great, we sat inside because of the heat wave we were in but would have been nice outside on the patio too. I'll definitely be back when I come back to Charlottetown. read more

Food was really good, service was terrible! Maybe not enough staff for the tables? We felt rushed and had to keep asking for things that should have automatically been brought to our table. Drinks, bread, cutlery, butter......Almost felt like there was no server assigned to our table. Party of 5 read more

Friendly service . Uninspiring food. This was my second attempt. Last year I went with my cousin. This year tried with a friend. She left most of the fish and chips on her plate. I had blackened salmon which was uninspired - not much salmon taste and the veggies were blah. The decor is like a cafeteria in dark brown. If the place had been busy, we'd have been making new friends with the people cheek to jowl at the tables in a long row. read more

This is an excellent restaurant with a wide menu. Service was great and the bread for the table is tasty. Thank goodness there isn't a lot of it because I would have kept eating it. Ordered a chicken pizza which was delicious. Definitely recommended read more

Food was excellent - seafood chowder, shrimp linguine, chicken fettuccini. Gahan Red Ale! Helpful staff (helping each other). Worth a dinner, with welcome air conditioning! read more

A nice spot to stop for breakfast while exploring scenic and charming Charlottetown. Very nice location with good ambiance and a very friendly staff. Note, the portions are BIG! Do not let anyone tell you Canadians eat lighter than Americans, lol! We ordered a few dishes that we discovered we could have very easily and comfortably split had we known the portion sizes. The prices match the portion sizes so be prepared for that as well. Fully recommend Casa Mia! read more

Casa Mia - A Truly Memorable Meal in PEI One of the most satisfying meals I've had during my stay in PEI. From start to finish, everything at Casa Mia was absolutely spot on -- delicious food, cozy atmosphere, and genuinely thoughtful service. Let's talk food first: We ordered a variety of dishes including the spicy garlic seafood pasta and the tomato-based seafood pasta -- both were flavourful, fresh, and perfectly cooked. The pizza had a thin, crispy base with just the right chew, and the toppings were generous and balanced. Every bite hit the spot. Dessert was just as impressive: The tiramisu was rich and creamy without being overly sweet, and the cheesecake had a lovely dense texture with a smooth finish -- a perfect way to end the meal. There was a small hiccup during our visit, but honestly, the way the restaurant handled it was gracious and professional. Our server, Iusema, was warm, attentive, and made us feel well taken care of -- truly great service goes a long way. Would definitely recommend Casa Mia to anyone looking for a quality Italian dining experience in PEI -- whether you're a local or just passing through. read more

the food was nothing special and lacked a bit of flavour, though the presentation was nice, ambience is fancy and drinks were great too. our service was fantastic, though for the price of a dish compared to the food, it wasn't worth. read more

We came to have an amazing dinner before a show, and we had some issues. First off, they need to do something about the flies. Service was very slow, and we ordered a chicken fajita but maybe they thought we said peppers and onions. Hardly any chicken. It was pitiful. Hopefully things get better or I don't see them lasting here. read more

Quite busy for breakfast. No gluten free or vegan options on the menu so I had granola with almond milk instead of yogurt along with fruit. Hubby had the stuffed French toast and my son had the hash brown bf with sunny side eggs, sausage and toast. The food was ok. The teas came in nice big kettles do we could keep drinking for a while. Only one washroom on the main floor so I had to go upstairs to use one. Staff were friendly, place is fairly big and open and they have lunch and dessert on the menu too. read more

The breaded chicken tacos were very good. Came with a garden salad with a vinaigrette, very good overall.

Food was tasty, although the wait time meant poached soft eggs were hard and the food temp was only warm. Arrived ten minutes before our reservation, and were seated after walk ins. The place was over seated, so the servers were run off their feet and we waited 50 minutes for food. We had to ask for water a second time y walking up to the bar after waiting 45 minutes. Have had better experiences here, however, it always takes 30-40 for food after ordering. Our server was lovely, and handled negative feedback from other customers with grace read more

I had breakfast this morning at Casa Mia Café. I ordered a large milk and House Buttermilk Pancakes (I swapped the sausage for bacon). The serving was HUGE and I could only eat about half. The pancakes were delicious and filling. I wish there had been fresh strawberries (as per the description) rather than the bowl of berry compote (?). Lee-Ann was my server. She was friendly and chatty and took good care of me. read more

Great place. Wonderful food, large portions, coffee shop and beer/wine/alcohol. Great ambiance. The Benny is Yum!

On our last family vacation we discovered this absolute gem. The 1st day, (yes we went multiple days) we had brunch. The service was excellent. The food was excellent. The family and I decided that this spot will part of our rotation every time we go to PEI. read more

Well, I already can't wait to return to the island to grab breakfast here again. First of all, it isn't posted here but they have a patio - breakfast on a patio Second, they have probably the best homemade breakfast I've had since my trip to New Orleans. I've been looking for a local place in the maritimes that does stuffed French toast and I found it! I got the stuffed French toast and the banana pancakes - split it with my bf and wow, we regret not checking this place out when we first got to PEI. Highly recommend for fresh espressos as well, love this little gem and can't wait to come back! read more

Not what I expected! I'm right here at the restaurant and the floor is not cleaned. slow service. didn't realize the salad I ordered had blue cheese in it they would not take it back and make me a new one. they would have to charge me for a new one that would mean I would pay for two salad. the lobster cakes barely had lobster in them it was full of potatoes. would never come back here. Service is so bad here. Lots of flies flying around our foods. They don't seems to care about their customer. beware when here! read more

I stopped by here this past Friday afternoon with my girlfriend for a cup of coffee. The inside is Decorated nicely and it had a good selection of items on the menu. Having just eaten lunch though, I decided to just get a cup of coffee. The coffee itself was decent enough and whenever I was low an employee came over and asked me if I wanted some more. The bottom line for me was that it wasn't a bad little place to stop for a coffee. I wouldn't mind coming back again even if there are better places close by for coffee. read more

Stopped by this nice cafe on our last night of our mini vacation to Charlottetown. We had an excellent meal. Did not feel that the menu was overpriced. My dining partner ordered the roasted red pepper soup and a salad with pear and walnuts in it. She noted that the pears were fresh as recently she had ordered a salad with fruit in it and the fruit was canned. I had the chicken fajitas which were served very hot and the veggies seemed very fresh...they certainly were tasty. Lots of chicken fo fill up 4 fajitas in fact this meal could be shared between two people in my opinion. Server was attentive and pleasant. read more

We were visiting town and looking for a casual option. Casa Mia had options for our vegetarian/vegan family members. We tried the Chicken Alfredo and a pizza. Both were very good! We leave 15 minutes from New Haven, CT in the US which is the country's pizza Mecca, so we are familiar with great pizza. The pizza wasn't New haven style, but sure was good!!!! The crust is crispy yet that a nice chew to it. The ingredients fresh sause, mozzarella, basil wassup delicious, made even more so by the addition of grated cheese and sprinkle of crushed red pepper (make sure you ask for them). The staff was very nice, but had to track them down and not attentive at all. The place was not busy and there were three waitstaff, but we had difficulty getting them to come to take our order and they never came back once we received our meals. That being said, come for the food and definitely try the pizza!! read more

We stopped in for late lunch and the service was great. The seafood chowder the curry carrot soup were excellent! The chowder was rich and creamy with just the right amount of seasoning and the seafood was tender, not even a bit overdone. The grilled foccacia bread that came with was just perfect for dipping. The comfort food was exactly what we needed! read more

Unjustifiably expensive. Had dinner here tonight, expecting elevated Italian style cuisine, which is certainly the impression being given from the restaurant menu and decor. Food was not very good. My "pollo parmigiana" was run of the mill and tasted like something you could get at east side marios or boston pizza. Like a frozen patty fried with mediocre cheap cheese on top. The Bolognese sauce on the spaghetti and my girlfriends lasagne was extremely salty, to the point where I after 3 bites I stopped eating it. Her lasagne was not a very big portion, and did not come with salad or bread, and also featured the same salty Bolognese sauce. When you can get a better tasting, larger portion with a side at even a chain restaurant for less money, dont bother with this dish. The desserts sounded good but at 9 dollars for a small slice of cake? No thanks. Plenty of good desserts a few doors down for half that. On top of that, the service was not great. Our waitress didnt realize that the owner had stepped in to take over waiting on us half way through. Leading to some confusion. I hope he didn't steal her tip. Also, small gripe, but there was an exposed electrical plug on the wall next to us..50 cents at home depot can fix that c'mon. These owners need to lower their prices or increase the quality of their food. Nice decor high prices and a fancy sounding menu means nothing if your food and service can't live up to it. read more

Just had to stand up and leave this cafe, arrived and ordered coffee at 10:15, left at 10:50 still no coffee and our order hadn't been taken yet. The couple beside us had been waiting over an hour for their food and were not pleased about it at all. The server was friendly but really didn't seem to care that we were disappointed to have to go find somewhere else to eat as we didn't have 2+ hours to spend there. Be very cautious here if they look busy, seems like way to many seats for the kitchen/staff capacity. read more

This coffee shop was at the top of my list to visit in Charlottetown because it came recommended by locals. I had a BLT panini served as a special with a soup of the day. The BLT came with bacon made on the Island, which is why I chose it. It was a little dry, but tasty, with fresh local greens instead of just boring salad. The soup was really amazing. It was a tomato curry mixture, that was thick enough to hold a spoon up in (maybe almost a little TOO thick). It had a really strong / rich tomato flavour and was really tasty. I decided to finish off with a cappucino. It had a giant amount of foam on it and was a really tasty coffee. You can go here for just a coffee, but it's got great meals as well. read more

My colleagues recommended this restaurant and I'm glad I tried it. First of all, the interior decor is magnificent (I could be biased since I love mahogany!!). Onto the wait time, it's relatively short, considering I came in on lunch time on a Sunday. Now the finale, the food!!! The vegetarian omelette I tried was very tasty. It was generously portioned. The coffee is quite rich and aromatic! The atmosphere is good. It is a little loud for my liking but I guess that's how it is if you visit a popular joint. The staff are quite friendly. This cafe is definitely worth tmr revisiting and I highly recommend you try it. Bon Appetit!! read more

We came here for breakfast before our meetings. My friend and I each got the two eggs breakfast, which came with a choice of either bacon or sausage, and toast. Thinking that the sausage was going to be local, I went for the sausage, while my friend went for the bacon. His was the much better choice. The sausage, without joking, tasted like a spicy hot dog. Same consistency, same texture, same taste as a hot dog, but with some spices added in to make it "italian". I had two bites of it and that was all I could manage. The bacon was delicious and crispy however. Coffee is good, ambience is nice. I'd go back and try out a few things but never again will I attempt the sausage. Also, the plate was served with the eggs, meat and toast, but it could have used a few pieces of fruit or some greens to liven it up a bit. read more

I had a hard time deciding between 3 and 4 for this one. The server seemed surprised that I was dining alone and the service was quite slow. I didn't get my latte that I had ordered until i was 3/4 done my meal (event though I ordered it at the same time. It was a chai latte and not very flavourful as the tea had not steeped sufficiently prior to the milk being added. I had the casa Mia melt and it was pretty good but a little on the greasy side (to be expected as it is a croissant). Bacon on the side was cooked perfectly and they have an interesting take on hash browns- they have a sweet flavour as a result of maple syrup being fried in there. Location is good and they have a nice sunny patio out front. read more

Had breakfast here and we ordered the bacon and cheese omlette and eggs bennies. The eggs bennies were supposed to be soft but came out hard and the omlette was dry. Love the dinner at this place and all our family enjoy the food that we ordered. The service was friendly and price wise is very good. Six of us wandering around late on a Saturday morning looking for somewhere to brunch/lunch we decided to give this place a try. We'd been to Cora next door a few times before but wanted something local and different. It seems a bit stark but the dark wood tables warm the place up a bit. We were seated quickly and not long before our orders were taken. I ordered the Potato Breakfast Cakes, another had the Montreal smoked meat panini, another the eggs any style with a side of potato hash, another the granola and the last two shared an order of old world buttermilk pancakes. Expecting more of a flat potato pancake, what I got was two tennis ball sized, giant croquettes. They were crispy on the outside, fluffy potato on the inside mixed with ham, cheese, green onion and a peppery bite to it. These covered in a lemony hollandaise. It comes with a side salad which I though rather odd for a breakfast offering but enjoyed it all the same. Soooo yummy! Though not a traditional Montreal smoked meat sandwich, it was almost as good, though he removed the lettuce & tomato and got a spicy mustard rather then the red pepper aoli that came with it. The granola was quite good and made in house according to the menu. The other two dishes came with an "Island sausage" which I assume was locally made. There are some vegetarien options avaialble on the menu. All and all, a great meal and hope to come back and try some of the other offerings, though, I suspect I may have to come back for those potato cakes! read more

The waiter was argumentative. we eneded up waiting 30 minutes for a soup and sandwich we thought would take max 20 minute to ladle and put together. we politely told the server we had to get going as we had afternoon plans and we were sorry but we would have to leave. And my complaint is that this male server seemed personally offended and became argumentative saying "well 29 minutes in a full restaurant is not a long time to wait" I was shocked. We might have agreed if we had not witnessed two tables who had arrived after us getting their finishing their hot meals. We had shown no grievances towards this man and he came out of no where with that comment and it really upset me as a customer. read more

Place looks great but food sucks ..veggie panini my husband loved...however I got the pancakes which were mediocre but the fruits were rotten and old. .. threw it all out.... there's a racists old lady that works there she wears glasses effin rude she greeted everyone that came through the door except us.... very unprofessional. ..our waitress however was super friendly. .. read more

Loved Casa Mia! My hot brunch date and I ordered the BLT on a croissant with the potato hash on the side. Too delicious. Something about that toasted croissant and herbs aioli made it unreal. The price is right and the portions are good. I was pleased with their espresso. The service was a tad slow but we were in a tourist spot during rush hours so how could I be mad? Plus, it gave me time to recuperate my life and actually enjoy my meal. My friends arrived earlier than us and scored a bigger table. They were raving over the savory biscuits, so make sure to try those! read more

I ordered Casa Mia hash and it was very good. Nice wait staff and good coffee and they kept my cup full.

Was not impressed. The food was served slightly warm, the haddock over cooked, the staff are too young and not serious about their work, are inattentive expect to each other. This place can not handle a crowd. Overpriced for what you get. read more

Wow! The staff was friendly, our Farmers Omelette was the best we'd ever had, the Banana French Toast was great (we split these two plates).
