It seems the ownership may have changed, but we still get good servings and the food is very typically Galician. That means seafood (the salpicón is usually good and abundant), caldo galego (Galician broth), good-sized salads, and a variety of dishes like merluza (hake). Dessert may include flan and thin apple pie. The atmosphere is rather coastal - a large room with lots of small tables, painted a cheery yellow. Open sink for handwashing is an older tradition, also found in Portugal. A bar in the front and somewhat away from the wating area helps keep smokers in that area.
Noia is a town worth visiting and this is a safe bet for eating. A lot of visitors find their way here, but locals also stop by, judging from the times we've been. Definitely worth going and not far from the center of town, on foot.
