Recently we wanted to refinance at a significantly lower interest rate AND get a substantial amount of equity cash back with a VA Loan. Their wise recommendation was to refinance with a traditional VA Loan to get the cash back at the current interest rate (3.75% at the time), make payments on the new loan for six months, and then refinance at no cost for a VA Interest Rate Reduction Loan (VA IRRL) at 2.25% interest. Had we simply refinanced for the VA IRRL first, we would not have been able to take any cash out, so this was the optimum method for obtaining the cash back and a much lower interest rate. My wife and I thought this plan was ingenious and we began the process right away. I normally don't write reviews, but I've just completed my refi and the quality of service that I've received from Casa Financial was beyond my expectations that I felt compelled to write a review. After hearing some friends talking about their refi and how the interest rates is one of the lowest it has been in years, I decided to email Zindi from Casa Financial to inquire about the current rate and if I can benefit from it even though my current rate is already pretty low to start with. I expected that I'll get a response in a few days like some other brokers that I've dealt with in the past, but within an hour, I got a reply from Zindi asking me for my current mortgage statement so that she can see what options I have. My wife and I were in the process or purchasing a home in March - April of 2013. We initially started using a lender that I located in Temecula.
