Casa Emma is well worth the trip to Italy and the Chianti Classico region where the vineyards, views, wines and food are amazing! We joined and shipped cases home! The service and tour was educational and fun! Look up and buy online.. well worth it!

Have been to Casa Emma twice in my trips to Florence, both with wine tastings. The Chianti Classico is always a solid choice and their white wine selection is amazing. The white truffle olive oil is also a favorite as I make large orders for gifts!

If you're interested in learning more about Chianti wine, Casa Emma is up for the challenge. This family-run spot is perfectly situated in the Tuscan hills and would be a great place to visit on a pretty, warm day. They have a nice patio area overlooking the vineyards. It happened to be cool and drizzling when our group visited as part of a private tour of the region, but the rain didn't take away from the winery's charm. We were treated to a cellar tour, a full pasta lunch (no meat course), three red wines, one dessert wine with biscotti, and a look through the retail shop. Alessio was our guide and he was informative throughout the tour and tasting. I hardly drink wine these days, but it was nice to take a break from the suds for the afternoon. Highly recommend a visit if you're in the area.

We went here for a group wine tour, and it was absolutely amazing! Definitely a highlight of our trip to Italy. The views were to die for- we wanted to stay longer to just sip wine on the balcony. When we arrived, our wine expert showed us into the tasting room and gave us 4 tastings over the course of about an hour to hour and a half. We also sampled the local olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette. The balsamic vinaigrette was so good that every person in the tour bought a bottle to bring home! We also received a tray of mixed meats and cheeses to go with our wine which was also delicious. For our particular tour they did not give us a tour of the cellar or winery- I am not sure if this is an option that is offered here, but our wine expert was extremely knowledge and gave great insight on all of the wine we tasted.

Unique vineyard in the hills of Tuscany. This vineyard makes its own wine and olive oil. We came here for a lunch and wine tasting experience which was a great addition to our trip. Seated outside, we had a fantastic view of the vineyard where our host gave us a great overview of all the types of grapes, olives, wines and olive oils produced at the vineyard. She also explained the history of the home which made the visit that much more enjoyable. We had the opportunity to sample all the wines and oils produced on the site. The tasting was followed by pasta, caprese salad and a meat/cheese platter. This is a really cool get away and even just the drive to the vineyard is a really great experience. I would highly recommend the lunch / wine tasting if you are in the area.

Beautiful location and amazing experience! This stop was part of a tour but definitely a highlight in our trip to Italy. My favorite part was actually their balsamic vinegar which I purchased - sweet, creamy and hands down the best I have ever tasted. They gave us many tastings and the food paired with the wine was delicious. I forget the names but we tried about 4 red wines and 1 white wine and I had a charcuterie plate with a red pepper sauce on bread, mushroom with truffle, cheese, olive oil and the BEST balsamic in the world

This is a great winery to visit. We had a wine tasting of 7 delicious wines and the serving was very generous. The Italian bread with oil and cheese was paired with the wine tasting. We highly recommend!!

We had an absolutely spectacular afternoon at Casa Emma. It was recommended to us by Castello del Nero as a place to taste wine and have a small lunch. This is an understatement. The view from the deck outside the tasting room is amazing. They had nice tables set up to enjoy our lunch, wine, view, and sun. Our host was very pleasant, happy, and informative. We really got the sense that he wanted us to have an amazing time. We started with a charcuterie plate with cheese, brushchetta, and artichoke spread. These platters are popular in Tuscany but this was one of the best we had. The meat, cheese, and tomatoes were all so amazingly fresh, I wish I could find it somewhere in the U.S. After this we had each had a dish of pasta. One wild boar with tagliatelle and one tagliatelle with tomato sauce. The pasta was freshly made that morning. Our lunch was awesome. Throughout our meal we tasted four wines and got a short intro to chianti classico (which was very helpful). We loved the wine and it paired well with the food. At the end our host was nice enough to snap a few pictures for us with the beautiful surroundings. There seemed to be mostly tourists there, and a few larger groups of 6-8, but only about 20 people total. It was still a relaxing and enjoyable time and at the end we shipped home a case of wine. The overall atmosphere was spectacular and a great way to spend an afternoon in Chianti.

    Simply beautiful!

My husband and I went for our honeymoon. We stayed in a villa outside of Florence and the front desk recommended Casa Emma. They are amazing, friendly staff, awesome food, and great wine! We ordered a few bottles. I wished I had ordered more olive oil to ship to the US. It has been the best olive oil to date that I've tasted. I'm guarding the one bottle I ordered with my life, only fling it out on special occasions. Next time I'm back in Italy, we are definitely coming back!

Visited here 3 years ago on my first trip to Tuscany. Going back in 2 weeks and bringing a hard of friends with me this time. What an amazing experience this was. The food, wine, service and that view is a must when in Tuscany

As a Black woman from the U.S., I faced poor customer service and discrimination. My tour guide, Tomaso, was rude and condescending. First, he ignored me and other people of color in my group by not speaking to us or even giving eye contact at the beginning of the tour. Second, Tomaso told me that I wasn't allowed to record videos as this was the owner's rule and he demanded that I delete any videos from my phone. I felt that he was singling me out and trying to embarrass me. This "policy" was not shared in writing or verbally in advance. Also, I've seen other guests post videos on social media, even days before my visit, which included Tomaso's face. The energy of the tour felt unwelcoming. During the tasting, no one followed up to ask how I was enjoying the wines or if I was interested in purchasing. It felt like the establishment didn't care about my business. Next, the staff said I could take photos with my wine in front of the amazing terrace view, then they refused. The castle shouldn't schedule tastings right before closing if guests will be pushed out. The only reason I didn't leave a one star review is due to a good experience with an outstanding staff member. Sole was very nice and offered me a ride to my car! She's the kind of employee who should be rewarded for going above and beyond and providing wonderful service to guests. Overall, the castle was beautiful, but the tour was dry with no enthusiasm and the service was lacking. Some staff seemed more concerned with showing attention to white guests and heading home than providing a memorable visit for everyone. I envisioned a once-in-a-lifetime experience that would leave me feeling enlightened, supported, and valued. Instead, I felt dismissed, excluded, and disrespected. I will return to Tuscany, but to a different winery that prides themselves on excellent service and fairness for all.

So, my, then fiancé, agreed to let us marry in here September 7, 2019. It was absolutely spectacular, and a dream come true! The vineyard is breathtaking, and Anna & Barbara are professional and an absolute pleasure to work with. Highly recommended. My husband and I agree that the grounds were beautiful, very reasonable pricing, especially when considering the level of service and area provided. They were also very responsive to all our questions and many emails! This place is absolutely gorgeous while still being intimate, and the staff here are wonderful! Barbara and Anna were there for us every step of the way and made it all so fun and stress-free. To start - I reached out to Casa Sola in November of 2017 just to see the process of booking the venue. They explained everything in great detail and when we "officially" started planning they stayed in constant communication with me and we planned everything via email. They made a stressful time much easier. Not only did we get married, but we rented out both cabin properties and our guests loved the venue and their personalized cabins. The location was tucked away, but we communicated that clearly to our guests and brought groceries with us, but they do offer breakfast baskets that had so much food that many people ate it all day. They do offer other baskets for lunch and dinner, but unfortunately, I was not told about this until after we were there, so if you book here ask about them because the baskets are amazing and filling. Because we had an intimate guest list, we didn't use a seating chart for our reception dinner, but we did make a cabin "seating chart" to make sure all of our guests were able to stay and enjoyed their stay. Barbara and Anna were so accommodating and understanding as the guest list changed quite a few times and a bit last minute. The vineyard, in general, is very romantic. We Loved everything about it. The property grounds are gorgeous, and we received many compliments on our venue choice! We loved the vineyards, koi pond, and especially the mansion. We didn't hire a wedding coordinator, but Anna and Barbara were so wonderful and made sure that all of our wedding details came together perfectly. Due to a language barrier, it was wonderful that they helped with translating and coordinating every step of the way. They were always in constant communication with me throughout the whole process and checked on me throughout the whole day. They also recommended outstanding vendors to choose from. It was the perfect place to have our wedding and I could have asked for anything more! Our ceremony was outdoors on the side of the gorgeous main building with a beautiful view of the vineyard behind us. The cocktail hour was in the entryway that has a beautiful persona with dinner in the area the ceremony was and the reception in the entryway as well and both were beautiful and unique. To sum up, my wedding day was absolutely perfect every step of the way and the very few things that were not 100% were forgotten as we couldn't have had a better day. Casa Sola is a gorgeous venue and made wonderful by its wonderful staff. Barbara and Anna were there for us every step of the way, very responsive and accommodating, and such a pleasure to work with. Our guests had a wonderful time and I attribute much of that to the beauty of this venue and the hard work of the staff!

Unfortunately, we got to the vineyard after sunset so we did not get to enjoy the scenery nor check out their grapes and vineyard. For the wine tasting and dinner, the wine and pairing food is excellent. We got a brief introduction of Italian wines, grapes, DOC and DOCG quality control. For welcome and aperitif, we had Pinot grigio. It is slight sweet, light, fruity and refreshing. Cheese and aged meat plates were served with their balsamic oil, olive oil with chilly and truffle, paired with Rosa Rosae 2015. Rosa Rosae is dry, more tannic than their Pinot Grigio, fruity taste. Pasta dish was paired with Chianti Classico 2015. Pasta was very al dente. Chianti classico is dry, medium bodied, tannic. I don't know much about wine but everyone at my table seemed to enjoy it. Pig carre cooked with desert wine and salad with their olive oil paired with Chianti Classico Riserva 2015. I generally don't like pork but this is cooked perfectly and not gamy. As far as pork goes, it is pretty tasty. By this time, we were all tipsy and happy... so everything was great! For desert, we had cantuccinni paired with Vin Santo del Chianti Classico. We dipped cantuccini (biscotti) in the sweet wine. It was delicious! Overall, everyone in our group enjoyed the dinner and wine. The food and wine portion was very generous! I would definitely come back here to check out their vineyard. They also provide farm stay via their website.

We were taken to this lovely estate, while dodging roosters and chickens as our bus entered through the main gate. It's such a picturesque setting for a wine tasting. I can see that many events are celebrated in these vineyards all year round. The beautiful rose bushes along the trail leading to the wine tasting room added even more charm. Gabrielle was our guide for this tour. He gave us a great presentation of all that Tenuta Torciano has to offer. It all started with the appetizer plate that went perfectly with their amazing Vernaccia wine. It is such a beautiful golden color with a bright and crisp fruity taste. The grape is only grown in this region. It's a must try when in San Gimignano. I was also very much in love with the Rosato IGT Toscana wine that is very deep pink in color. It looks so pretty in the bottle. It was my second favorite of the 9 or 10 different wines that we tasted. It was an extremely generous amount for the cost. I even purchased a couple of reds, which I'm not usually fond of because they give me headaches. These did not have that affect on me. The Super Tuscan red wines called Bartolomeo & Baldassarre totally won me over. In all honesty, I've never spent this much on wine in my entire life. It was worth it. They ship it straight to your home. They have a stateside warehouse in Chicago which makes it so convenient. The package arrived a couple of days after we returned from our trip. It was exactly what we ordered, and packed with such wonderful care. Great service! We also were given the opportunity to try their flavored olive oils and balsamic vinegar. The truffle oil was drizzled over the lasagna for the tasting, but it was the balsamic vinegar that was a big hit with my husband. We've been getting a lot of use out of it when making bruschetta and caprese salad at home. It's delicious! The sweet ending to our tasting was the Vin Beato dessert wine. We dipped the cantucci (or biscotti cookies) into the wine. It was the perfect ending to a lovely wine tasting experience. I really wasn't expecting a full meal, nor was I expecting so many different wine samplings. It exceeded our expectations. I believe they have a number of different experiences here like truffle hunting and horseback riding. Just check out their website. I would have never known about this place had I not booked a tour through the cruise line. It was a memorable visit with an excellent wine tasting. I'd do it again if ever in San Gimignano.
